Proceduresfor setting up a new Outlook
Profile• On the following slides will be a quick
and easy step by step procedure to change your Outlook from the old mail server to the new and improved mail server.
• If, at any time, you lose your way or have questions please contact the Help Desk at 312.780.2920.
Step 1 – Deleting Old Profile• Right click on the Microsoft Outlook icon on the Desktop.• Left click on “Properties”.

• When the screen below comes up.• Select “Show Profiles…”

• When the screen below comes up.• Select “Remove”
Note:
This will remove your current Outlook profile which is linked to the MAILSERVER and allow the creation of a new profile using the same profile name, but linked to the new PRGEXCHANGE server.
If you have more that one profile listed please contact the Help Desk at 312.780.2920
Step 1 – Deleting Old Profile
• You will be prompted to remove the profile. Please select “Yes”
• You will be taken back to your profile screen. Please select “Close”
• This will take you back to your desktop.
Congratulations!
Step 1 has been completed…And Now Step 2
Step 2 – Creating New Profile
• Right click on the Microsoft Outlook icon on the Desktop.• Left click on “Properties”.

• When the screen below comes up.• Select “Add..”

• When the left screen below comes up. Check off “Microsoft Exchange Server”
• When done the screen should look like the right screen below.• Select “Next >”

• When the left screen below comes up. Type in PRGEXCHANGE into the “Microsoft Exchange Server” text box.
• Although the pictures below says “USERNAME” your username will actually be in the “Mailbox” text box, so nothing needs to be changed there.
• Select “Next >”

Step 2 – Creating New Profile
• When the screen below comes up…• Select “Next >” if you do not travel (i.e. have a desktop).• Select “Yes” if you travel (i.e. have a laptop and want mail
available when away from work). Select “Next >”.

• When the screen below comes up.• Select “Finish” to complete the wizard.

Step 3 – Configuring OAB
• Right click on the Microsoft Outlook icon on the Desktop.
• Left click on “Properties”.

• When the screen below comes up. Select “Outlook Address Book”
• Select “Properties”

• When the left screen below comes up. Select “File As (Smith, John)”
• When done you screen should look like the right screen below.
• Select “Close”

• When the screen below comes up. Select “OK” to complete Configuring OAB.

Step 4 – Exchange Server Settings
• Right click on the Microsoft Outlook icon on the Desktop.
• Left click on “Properties”.

• When the screen below comes up. Select “Microsoft Exchange Server”
• Select “Properties”

• When the screen below comes up. Select the “Advanced” tab.
USERNAME

• When the left screen below comes up. Check off “When using the network” and choose “None” under “Logon network security” drop down box.
• Select “OK”.
Step 4 – Exchange Server Settings
• When the screen below comes up.• Select “OK” to return to the desktop.
Extra Information
• If you use Archives, you will need to update the location.
• If you open additional mailboxes you will need to contact the Help Desk at 312.780.2920 to re-obtain permissions.
