Procedure to Edit a Spice Model in Multisim

• If you wish to modify any parameter of the SPICE Model of a “Master Database” Component, it must be saved in the “User Database” with a slightly modified Part Number so you will able to identify it later from the original component from which it came. Example, IRF520 to IRF520a.

• In the following slides will step by step show you how to save the component in the “User Database” so it may be selected from there to be used in a design where you wish to modify it’s SPICE Model.

• Now we want to start over and select under the “Select a Component” Menu a Component from the “User Database”. So under “Database”, Select “User Database” and under “Group” “Transistors” and finally the “IRF520a” that you Saved. Place that part on the ‘Circuit Window”.

• This completes the procedures to EDIT the SPICE Model of a Component.
