Assault (3 incidents), Vandalism (3 incidents), Destruction of Property, Violation of Civil Rights, and Threats of Violence (4 incidents)

Desiring to start a debate about abortion during Holy Week of 2003, students Matt Progen and DavePeterson, members of the University of Massachusetts Republican Club, purchased lumber and othermaterials at a cost of nearly $200 and erected 160 white crosses, representing the number of babies whodie each hour in this country due to abortion. On Sunday night, April 13, the students set up the crossesto simulate an "abortion graveyard."

Signs were interspersed through the graveyard. One sign explained the white crosses: "Abortionkills 160 babies in the U.S. every hour." Another said "Abortion doesn't make you unpregnant, it makesyou the mother of a dead baby."

Pro-abortionists, who claim they love peace and free speech, immediately began to assault thepro-lifers, and completely destroyed their display of crosses. The pro-aborts punched and pushed thepro-lifers who tried to stop their vandalism.

First, the pro-aborts threw two pro-life signs into the campus pond and ran away. The next day, theytried to destroy the crosses with a soccer ball.

Kiera Manikoff, a political science major and a junior, was working to repair the damage done to thedisplay. A female pro-abort ran up, picked up one of the crosses, and broke it over her knee. Then shebegan destroying the signs. Kiera walked over with her tools and confronted the woman. The womanresponded by telling Kiera she found the display "horribly offensive." Then the encounter took a physicalturn. The pro-abort grabbed the hammer out of Kiera's hand, and gestured with it in a threatening

manner. A scuffle ensued as Kiera attempted to prevent the larger woman from swinging the hammer.Kiera ended up on the ground after her assailant pushed her.

Although over a dozen spectators were watching the altercation, only two young men, whom Kieradescribed as teenagers, came to her assistance. "We saw the whole thing. We're sorry we couldn't gethere in time to get her off you," they told her.

The campus police were called, and Kiera gave them her statement, as did the other woman. The

police log describes it: "Caller reporting that she had an altercation with a member of a group who haveset up an anti-abortion demonstration on the lawn outside the Earthfood market." They have not releasedthe name of Kiera's assailant.

UMass Deputy Police Chief Patrick Archibald told the Daily Hampshire Gazette that "The incidentis still under review by the district attorney's office. We feel pretty confident those charges [vandalismand assault] will go forward, as well as civil rights charges."

Regarding the civil rights charge, Kiera said a campus officer contacted her on Tuesday, April 15,and told her that the other woman had "inhibited your right to express yourself."

The pro-life students also were forced to call police four times in three days when gangs ofpro-abortion thugs threatened to physically assault them.

Then the cowardly pro-aborts did at night what they could not accomplish during the day. On thenight of April 18, they completely destroyed the display of 160 white crosses. The next morning, policeofficers found the crosses broken and strewn around the area, with some in a nearby garbage can, he said.

As expected, the University of Massachusetts authorities refused to take action against thepro-abortion students who had threatened and assaulted the pro-lifers, but threatened the pro-lifers withCode of Student Conduct violations because they did not go through the proper channels to put up thedisplay.

First - Degree Murder (2 counts), Rape and Statutory Rape [Mattapan]

21-year-old Kyle Bryant had slept with 14-year-old Chauntae Jones, and she was eight monthspregnant with his child. He knew about the Massachusetts laws regarding statutory rape, and did notwant to go to prison. He did not want the baby either.

So he got his friend, Lord Hampton, 24, and, sometime in September of 1999, just weeks after shehad started eighth grade, they lured her to an abandoned hospital and murdered her. One or both of them

blindfolded her, raped her, struck her over the head with a blunt object, then stabbed her repeatedly in theneck, abdomen, and back. To compound her horror, she was still alive when they buried her in a pre-dugshallow grave on the former Boston State Hospital property in Mattapan.

There is no honor among thieves, and there is even less honor among pro-abortionists and other

murderers. Both Bryant and Hampton blamed the other in Chauntae's murder.Chauntae's body was not discovered until November 1999, after Bryant told police where she was

buried.Once again, pro-abortionists showed that they are completely heartless in their defense of their

precious abortion "right." They immediately began to criticize prosecutors in the case, claiming thattreating the unborn baby as a separate victim could be used to erode the "right" to abortion.

Melissa Kogut, executive director of the Massachusetts chapter of the National Abortion RightsAction League (NARAL), heartlessly told the Associated Press that

The assault or violence that harms a pregnancy is an attack on a woman. The focusought to be on the violence that harms a woman. ... This is a tragic circumstance for thewoman and her family, and we must prosecute the criminals responsible. But we mustnot do so in such a way that allows those who oppose abortion to mount a legal assaultonRoe v. Wade and the right to safe, legal abortion.

In April 2004, Kyle Bryant was acquitted of all charges despite his confession, which infuriatedChauntae's family and friends.

On November 18, 2004, a jury found Lord Hampton guilty of two counts of first-degree murder.

    Murder and Suicide

On October 23, 1989, Boston furrier Charles Stuart made a panic call to police, saying that a Blackman had attacked himself and his wife Carol as they left a hospital birthing class at an inner-city hospital, carjacked them, drove them to Mission Hill and robbed them. Then the assailant shot Carol in the headand Charles in the stomach and escaped.

This emergency call turned the city of Boston upside down and hugely inflamed racial tensions.Pictures of Stuart's mortally wounded wife were published in newspapers nationwide in an attempt tofind the assailant. Police fanned out through troubled neighborhoods and frisked all the Black men theyencountered indiscriminately.

Their near-term infant son was delivered by emergency Caesarian section, but lived for just 17 days.In mid-November, police arrested the "perfect suspect." He was William Bennett, a Black man and

a 39-year-old paroled convict, who had apparently boasted of committing the crime to some of hisfriends.

On December 28, Stuart identified Bennett as the killer in a police lineup. But shortly thereafter,

Charles' brother Matthew identified Charles as the real killer and testified that he had helped hide a gunCharles had used to murder his wife. Soon after this revelation, Charles Stuart killed himself by jumpingoff a bridge into Boston Harbor.

It was further revealed that Charles has three life insurance policies worth hundreds of thousands ofdollars on Carol, and had also demanded earlier that she have an abortion, which she refused.

Boston police spokeswoman Margot Hill said that "(Stuart) took advantage of the times we were inand the environment he was in. He knew exactly what he was doing."

Carl DiMaiti, Carol's brother, said that "In my own mind, I still can't understand how anyone coulddo that. In the whole sensationalism of the case, a vibrant, caring, brilliant woman has been lost. Onlyher friends and family know that."

    Manslaughter

In January of 1975, abortionist Kenneth Edelin, a member of the National Abortion Federation(NAF) Standards Committee, aborted a live and viable 22-week baby boy and then deliberatelysmothered him. He was subsequently convicted of manslaughter, but the conviction was overturnedbecause of improper jury instructions.

This killing did not seem to hamper his career, however; in 1979, he became the Chairman of theDepartment of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Boston University Medical School, and, in 1990, he

became Chairman of the Board of Planned Parenthood Federation of America (PPFA). He was alsoChairman of the National Abortion Rights Action League (NARAL) Medical Advisory Committee.

    Attempted Murder (2 incidents)

On two occasions, pro-abortionists fired rifle bullets through the windows of rescue leader FatherTom Carleton's home while he was there. No pro-abortion group condemned these attempted murders, showing that they instead supported them.

Conspiracy (2 counts) and Solicitation (2 counts) [Malden]

According to official police documents and media reports, the following events occurred in andaround Malden, Massachusetts.

Tyrone Walker already had a family, but this didn't stop him from having a sexual relationship onthe side. His girlfriend got pregnant, and, according to one source, "He wanted the baby dead so itwouldn't ruin his life."

So he offered a hit man several hundred dollars to kill her preborn child by whatever means werenecessary. He said to the hit man "Break into the home of my pregnant girlfriend. Knife her in the

stomach. Take a baseball bat to her womb. Make it look like a robbery gone awry. Mess her up realgood."

Emily LaGrassa of the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said "This was a person who was tryingto hire someone. He wanted to have someone assault someone."

On May 26, 2005, Walker was arrested in Malden and was charged with two counts of conspiracyand two counts of solicitation.

Assault and Death Threats (3 incidents)

In August 1976, a cowardly 20-year-old pro-abortionist beat 85-year old Ignatius O'Connor so badlythat he was hospitalized for three months.

    Assault and Menacing [Brookline]

Stephen Parsons is a hero to pro-abortionists because he is the abortion mill security guard whoprotected the Repro Associates abortion mill from John C. Salvi's deadly rampage on December 30,1994.

On January 9, 1998, he attacked a 72-year old woman, shoving her and screaming at her. On otheroccasions, he displayed his handgun and mace canister to pro-lifers in a threatening manner. JudgeHerbert N. Goodwin released Parsons from custody on $250 bail and ordered him not to return to theabortion mill, and his defenders whined that this would "destroy his livelihood."

    Death Threats (5 incidents)

On December 27, 2001, abortionist Rapin Osathanondh, head of the Brigham and Women's Hospitalabortion mill, threatened to kill five of his nurses. During a staff meeting, he said "I'm going to executepeople. I'm going to kill you. I'm going to execute you, Texas-style." The incident is alleged to haveoccurred just a day after Michael McDermott allegedly gunned down seven co-workers at a Wakefieldoffice. The timing of the incident only heightened the nurses' fear, sources said.

A police report says Osathanondh was suspended, but a hospital spokesperson said the he hasvoluntarily stepped down pending resolution of the matter. According to the police report, the nursessaid Osathanondh was upset about some forms that had "disappeared" from the nurse's station. Sources

said the incident occurred just days before a planned inspection by the agency that accredits hospitals. The complaint said "All of us felt threatened and afraid and voiced our concerns to each other.Everyone felt something should be done, but we were afraid of retribution and making [the doctor] moreangry and provoking him into doing something like shooting us." The police report identified thenurses as Kathie McCarthy, Martha Hester, Silleta Davis, Lenor Rodriguez and Samantha Legara.

In early 2001, the Brigham and Women's Hospital abortion mill's late-term abortion program shutdown. Predictably, people who never met an abortion they didn't like immediately began crying"victim."

Melissa Kogut, executive director for the Massachusetts chapter of the National Abortion andReproductive Rights Action League (NARRAL, now NARAL Pro-Choice America), defendedOsathanondh, saying that "He clearly cares about the right to choose. I was sorry to read that he's not

going to be practicing, because we do have a provider shortage in Massachusetts."TheBoston Globe called this late-term abortion program "the biggest of its kind in the region," and

said that its closing caused a "crisis" for women reminiscent of the desperate search for abortionproviders 30 years ago."

What is the "crisis?"The Globe said that the late-term abortion programs at other Boston hospitals are literally

"swamped," and that "Those too poor to travel are faced with choices thought long past: having the babydespite tests showing they or their fetus are at risk, or getting an abortion outside the hospital settingrecommended for the high-risk operation."

We have to ask ourselves a pertinent question here. The Boston Globe and other big-citynewspapers have repeatedly quoted the pro-abortion line that late-term abortions are "tragic but rare." Ifthey are so "rare," why are several late-term abortion programs in a small area of Massachusetts"swamped?"

The Globe said that about 2,000 women seek abortions after 14 weeks gestation each year inMassachusetts, almost all of them for fatal fetal birth defects.

Pam Nourse, spokeswoman for Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts, demonstrated the pro-abortion fixation on abortion when she heartlessly said "Is there a problem? Absolutely yes. Weknow about at least one person who fell through the cracks. ... She had to go ahead with her pregnancy."

Dr. Benjamin Sachs, chief of obstetrics and gynecology at Beth Israel Deaconess, said that "The vastmajority [of late-term abortions] are for women with serious medical problems. They are people likevery, very young girls who are the victim of rape or incest, and women who discovered a fetus withmajor birth defects."

This, of course, is completely at odds with the statistics that show such cases make up less than onepercent of all abortions.

    Vandalism (60 incidents) [Cambridge]

Harvard University is supposed to be the home of the elite, but is just the same as any other collegewhen it comes to skulking pro-abortionists trying to stamp out any expression they do not agree with.

Harvard Right to Life (HRL) received approval to put up its "Natalie" posters, which depict apreborn child in progressive stages of development. But sneaky pro-abortionists could not stand the

posters, and widely vandalized them. The only pro-abort caught was teaching fellow Elgin K. Eckert on February 13, 2003, who was

tearing down a poster in Boylston Hall. She admitted to vandalizing the poster when she was caught, butsaid that she was offended by it, and that the destruction of the poster was an accident. She said "Myscarf got stuck in one of the staples [affixing the poster]."

Eventually, the Harvard Undergraduate Council passed a resolution calling for strict enforcement ofthe University's free speech guarantees. It went so far as to pledge to reimburse any group for postersthat are destroyed.

The Council also demanded that the College take disciplinary action against those who destroymaterials posted by approved student organizations. The resolution reads "Any illegal poster destructionpotentially inhibits free exchange and free expression of Harvard students and student groups."

But the intolerant pro-abortionists did not pay attention. In October 2003, Harvard Right to Life pinned about 400 anti-abortion posters on bulletin boards in

first-year dormitories and undergraduate Houses. Just a few days later, pro-aborts had torn down ordefaced the posters.

The 2003 posters showed a picture of a woman holding a baby and the quote, "Women DeserveBetter."

A more inoffensive pro-life poster can scarcely be imagined, but we must remember that pro-abortshate all speech that they do not agree with, and that they feel compelled to destroy or silence allspeechthat opposes abortion while the whole time standing on theirrights and bleating about how they mustbe allowed to promote abortion.

HRL President Daniel R. Tapia said "In most of the houses, about half of the posters are torn downwithin a day." HRL member Paul C. Shultz, who is also a Crimson editor, said he has "had to re-posterfive times in four days" in DeWolfe House. Philip D. Powell said he put 15 posters in Eliot House, andafter a day, only six remained.

Powell also said HRL posters were defaced. On one sign, according to Powell, someone hadscrawled a message calling those who oppose abortion "chauvinist, gun-toting, Christianfundamentalists."

These are the posters that pro-choice students at Harvard Universityfound disturbing" and too graphic." What a bunch of sniveling crybabies!

Not even a five-year-old child would be frightened by these!

An Eliot House resident, Julia K. Clarke '06, acknowledged that she removed an HRL poster on abulletin board near the door of her dorm on the first floor. She said "I took the poster down and tore it

up." She said that the poster was "coercive" and imposing on her "personal space. ... That's moraljudgment. I don't want to look at when I go into my room everyday. It was right outside my door and itwas making me feel uncomfortable. Some posters cross the line."

The "line" for pro-aborts is simply what they don't like. They showed this again in 2006, when Harvard Right to Life put up another series of posters they

called "Elena." These posters showed preborn babies at various phases of development.Once again, pro-aborts showed their intolerance and stupidity by tearing down most of the posters.

Harvard Right to Life President Meghan Grizzle told the Harvard Crimson student newspaper that "Theposters from this semester are getting torn down left and right. Apparently people find the picture of afetus gruesome and I don't understand why, because we're not showing pictures of an aborted fetus or adead baby." Many pro-abortion students defended the vandalism, but you can bet they would be the firstto snivel about their free speech rights if "pro-choice" posters got torn down.

Hate Crimes (5 incidents) and Vandalism (5 incidents)

Pro-abortionists vandalized Catholic churches in Brookline, Chestnut Hill, Randolph, Stoughton andWellesley by pouring glue into door locks and spraying pro-abortion slogans on their walls such as"THIS BUILDING IS A BREEDING GROUND FOR THE HATRED OF WOMEN," and "ABORTIONIS NOT A CRIME."

Malpractice (2 incidents), Gross Negligence (2 incidents) and Violation of Health and SafetyStandards (3 counts)

We were all supposed to believe that the legalization of abortion got rid of all those nasty back-alleyabortion mills.

It was all just another pro-abortion lie.

Abortionist Jian Wu operated an abortion mill from his office that was so poorly equipped it did noteven have running water. It was completely non-sterile, and had no assistant or emergency equipment onhand, according to a report issued on May 9, 2003 by the Massachusetts Board of Registration inMedicine.

He routinely charged women $500 cash for nightmarish vacuum aspiration abortions during whichhe would berate them if they misbehaved. The Board report stated that "Patient A was crying from thepain. The Respondent (Wu) told Patient A if this persisted, he would not finish the procedure."

Wu aborted one woman, then held up his fist when she asked how big the baby was. But a monthlater she was back, still pregnant.

Although the woman wasn't sure how long she had been pregnant, Wu never performed anultrasound on her to determine how far along she was, the Medical Board's report said. Nor did he evercheck her vital signs or perform any lab tests on her blood during several appointments, all considered

essential procedures when normally treating pregnant women. When she returned to Wu the second time, still pregnant, he again performed the painful vacuum

aspiration procedure, but kept telling her she must be more than three months pregnant, and that her babywas too big. He finally stopped, telling her he couldn't get the baby out.

Instead, he tried to induce contractions. He told her to call him if she started bleeding, and to go tothe hospital if the baby didn't come out. The report does not state what she was supposed to do if shebegan to miscarry the baby.

When the woman began experiencing pain, she went to St. Elizabeth's Medical Center in Brighton, where she had a fever of 102.8 degrees. She delivered a 1-pound-2-ounce fully formed baby in theemergency room. Doctors estimated the baby was 16 to 20 weeks old.

In its final report, the Medical Board found that Wu had "engaged in conduct which places intoquestion his competence to practice medicine, including, but not limited to, practicing medicine withgross negligence." The Board also found that Wu placed the patient "at grave risk for hemorrhage, uterine perforation, and septic abortion," which the Board noted can cause death without properpost-abortion follow-up.

On March 5, 2003, the Medical Board shut down Wu's abortion mill, and in May 2003, hevoluntarily agreed to have his license to practice medicine suspended indefinitely.

Under the agreement with the Board, he must pass a skills assessment before he is allowed topractice. He is barred from practicing obstetrics or gynecology or performing surgical procedures andmust show that any new office meets sanitary standards.

    Harassment and Destruction of Property

There is a group called the Pro-Life Alliance of Gays and Lesbians, or PLAGAL. When this grouptried to set up a table at Boston's 1995 Gay and Lesbian Pride Festival, they were surrounded by a gangof lesbians who destroyed their literature and chanted "fascists!" When they called the police, the policetold them that they could not ensure their safety, and that PLAGAL would have to leave.

Fraud, False Advertising, Sexual Misconduct (and misogyny)

Abortionist Howard J. Silverman, the most prolific abortionist in Massachusetts and the owner of achain of clinics (Repro Associates; 10,000 abortions in four clinics per year), was the subject of a 1995federal probe for rigging ultrasound tests in order to overcharge women for their abortions.

The abortionist, a member of the National Abortion Federation (NAF), also admitted to charges ofsexual misconduct with a patient. He placed his mouth on her breasts on two separate occasions forseveral minutes. He lost or had suspended his privileges at Brigham and Women's Hospital, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, New England Baptist Hospital, and Hahnemann Hospital, as well asChildren's Hospital, which had referred the patient to him. He advertised his abortion mills as "clinics"in the Yellow Pages, although they did not meet the standard criteria for clinics.

Silverman, like so many other abortionists, did not particularly like women. He told one patient to

put her feet in the stirrups and "get into the position that got you here.

Gee, we used to hear a lotfrom the feminists about how legalizing abortion would put an end tothose awful, nasty, back-alley abortions performed by untrained and unskilled people. Seems like theylied about that, too some feminists are still so nutty that they will perform (and endure) what they callhome abortions.

One of these home abortion practitioners is 50-year-old Deva Skydancer, who aborted a 25-year-

old woman in 2004 and, of course, botched the job. In court, Skydancer said that she aborted thewoman, who was ten weeks pregnant at the time, by doing a menstrual extraction, or vacuum, abortion. This involves inserting a surgical hose into the uterus and using a syringe for extraction of the prebornchild.

It is not at all surprising that the woman had to be hospitalized for an infection, and the hospitalreported the case to police, who charged Skydancer.

On February 1, 2006, Skydancer pleaded guilty to practicing medicine without a license. JudgeJohn Agostini of Franklin Superior Court sentenced her to two months of probation and a $500 fine.Terms of her probation include paying $200 in restitution to the victim and not to perform menstrualextractions nor to train others or solicit others to do so.

Significantly, defense lawyer David Hoose argued for a light sentence, since, as he said, suchinfections occur in doctor-performed abortions in more clinical settings.

There was another very strange aspect to this story there was not a peep from the same feminists

who so loudly decried butcher abortionists beforeRoe v. Wade.Could it possibly be that they care more about the image of legal abortion than about the health of

    women?

    Manslaughter

Talk about heartless.18-year-old Amber Abreu waited too long to have an abortion in Massachusetts, where they are

illegal after 24 weeks. She got some abortion drugs from a friend who hade visited the DominicanRepublic and over the course of three days, swallowed RU-486 abortion pills (which is only legal andeffective to eight weeks of pregnancy) and misoprostol (Cytotec) in her attempt to kill her viable prebornchild. On January 6, 2007, she delivered a baby girl who weighed about 20 ounces, or 1 pounds. Thelittle one, named Baby Ashley by the mother who had killed her, did not have a chance, and died fourdays later.

A grand jury charged Abreu with manslaughter, because her actions caused the babys birth andsubsequent death. Lawrence Police Chief John Romero said that "The difference here is that the childwas born and lived."

But, showing that a living baby has zero value in pro-choice Massachusetts if her mother wantsher dead, Salem Superior Court Judge David Lowy Monday ordered Abreu to have mental healthtreatment, and dismissed the case in April 2009.

Dario Finkel is just another one of many pro-choice men documented in this database men wholoathe pregnant women and babies when they get out of line and inconvenience them in the least.

In the Summer of 2010, when his wife Jennifer told him she was pregnant, Finkel threw her out oftheir apartment wearing only pajamas, and said that she would not be allowed back inside until she eitherhad an abortion or a miscarriage.

But Jennifer managed to withstand her pro-choice husbands bullying, and gave birth to Michaelin late February 2011.

However, Michael tended to cry, as little babies often do, and Finkel became enraged on April 19,2011. First, Finkel commanded the seven-week old baby to shut up. Finkel then stuffed a baby wipeinto the little ones mouth to try to stop his crying. Jennifer immediately ran over and pulled the wipeout of his mouth, afraid that he might suffocate. When the baby continued to cry, Finkel walked over tothe couch where the baby was lying, picked him up and held the boy out in front of him, dropping him

about three feet to the floor. Jennifer picked him up and put him on the couch, but Finkel picked him upagain and threw him at her. Then he went into the bedroom and went to sleep.

Jennifer wrote a note to her husband, saying that "I'm leaving you. This (is) for real. I don't wantcontact with you. If (you) try I will go to the police station. I'm done with you. You hit me. You hitMichael for the last time."

Then she went to a friend's apartment in the same complex and called police, who arrested Finkeland charged him with attempted murder, child endangerment, assault and battery on a child causinginjury, and domestic assault and battery

William Olsen, Jr. was a typical arrogant "pro-choice" male who frequently took his frustrations outon his longtime girlfriend Kathie DeFelice. He repeatedly beat her up when he got frustrated, and hadbeen charged with domestic abuse three times and was the subject of five restraining orders by Kathie. He had also threatened her life on at least four occasions.

Kathie became pregnant at one point, and Olsen demanded that she have an abortion. She held outfor a while because she wanted her baby, but finally gave in to his browbeating and had the abortion.

On October 30, 2006, Kathie decided she had had enough, and stabbed Olsen with a kitchen knife. He bled to death in minutes.

Kathie was charged with first-degree murder but, on July 24, 2008, a jury found her guilty ofmanslaughter, holding that she had killed Olsen unlawfully but without malice.

At her sentencing on July 28, 2008, Kathie cried and said "I loved Bill, and I still do. I'm sorry thatit came to this. I think about him every day. I think about what happened all the time. I'm sorry he'sgone. I ask you to have some mercy."

However, Salem Superior Court Judge David Lowy said it was his duty to impose the correctsentence "without passion, sympathy, mercy or favor," and sentenced Kathie to eight to 13 years in state
