Priority Five Young Person Mystery Shoppers Programme West Midlands young people aged 14-19yrs Arts Connect WM and WM Museum Development Service invite you to be part of a Mystery Shopper programme launching at Hartlebury Caste , Worcestershire this November. We are looking to work with a group of young people aged 14-19yrs to visit museums across the West Midlands and consider what works well and ideas for the future in order to train museum contacts and develop the services offered at museums. Museums need your advice and you are being commissioned as experts in your own right. Activity includes: A launch day at Hartlebury Castle (including a mystery shop at Museum of Carpet in Kidderminster) Three visits to other museums across the West Midlands An evaluation session including developing a training session for museums Sharing findings at a regional youth led event in March 2014 Arts Award accreditation Creating a short film and report to be used by Museums and Arts Council England. What’s in it for you? This is a fun and sociable project which involves meeting and

working with other young people from across the West Midlands Travel costs, food and refreshments are covered and all activity is

free. You will visit lots of different museums across the West Midlands

and take part in various arts activities You are the experts in this process and get to feedback to venues

hints and tips that you feel will make the museum service even better

You will also get the chance to share your work at a youth led event in March with the view to being commissioned to help other young people establish Mystery Shoppers activity

Your work will lead to the achievement of an Arts Award which at Silver and Gold level counts as points towards university.
