2Introduction
Innovation, competence and reliability are
key words for Habasit
Production processes in the Printing & PaperIndustry require a vast range of different belts.Habasit has developed an extensive variety of solutions that allow customers to choose the best product for their application.Profound industry know-how and permanentcontacts with leading machine manufacturersworldwide and ongoing research enable us todevelop solutions which respond to the latestmarket needs; e.g for folders of web-fedprinting machines.Special focus of all developments is on userfriendly solutions which combine highperformance, reliability and attractive pricevalue ratio. For example our already big range ofunparalleled Hamid machine tapes whichallows adhesive-free joining and easyinstallation on-site is permanently extendedaccording to the latest customer needs.Habasit has recently introduced a unique rangeof driving and converting belts which combine
outstanding performance and adhesive-freejoining; the TC-range.TC-belts represent the perfect solution forcompact driving configurations, serpentine drives, very high speeds, and cope very well withreversed bendings. The CM-folder gluer belts are based on thesame principle and provide outstandingproperties against flex-fatigue. They guaranteetrouble-free joining on the machine withoutcumbersome disassembling work. The truly seamless Grabber feeder belts areextremely durable. They play a key role in theinfeed parts of converting machines as e.g boxmaking machines. Additionally Habasit is the only belt supplier tomanufacture and offer the full package of fabricbased and plastic modular belts. Our comprehensive range of HabasitLINK®
modular belts enables us to respond to the latesttrends in conveying applications; e.g in cardboardmanufacturing and converting where life-rollerconveyors are replaced by conveyors equippedwith plastic modular belts.

“One stop”-shopping
The one-stop-shopping policy means thatcustomers can obtain all the belts needed fromthe same supplier, thereby reducing purchasingand logistics complexity costs. A quiteimportant feature of our technical consultancy isthat since we are not restricted to a single typeof product, we can offer an unbiased opinionabout the best choice of product for eachdifferent application.
More than 50 years of experience –
Extensive global network
Habasit has more than 50 years of experience. With representations in over 70 countries worldwide and with a range of products and servicesacknowledged by the industry to be second tonone Habasit is well positioned to rapidly providea comprehensive range of competitively pricedproducts for all customer needs.
Focus on Printing & Paper
Belts, whilst often unobtrusive, are nonethelesscrucial parts of the complete production-,transport- or conveying system and are anintegral part of the manufacturing process.Choosing the right belt and the right supplier arecentral to any successful operation involvingprinting, finishing and converting machines. Habasit, the world market leader in belting, helps the Printing & Paper Industry to meet therequirements of efficiency, reliability, low costsand high performance.
Your manufacturing process
Habasit feeder belts, machine tapes, drivingbelts, conveyor & processing belts and modularbelts are applied in multiple applications of
• Printing processes
• Finishing processes
• Paper & cardboard converting processes
On the following pages we present some keyprocesses as examples. Of course Habasit’sproducts are also suitable for a large variety offurther applications.

Polyester folder-gluer belts
Traditional polyamide folder-gluer belts are made endless by a glued joint. This can be time-consuming,particularly in case joining on the machine is required. Habasit polyester folder-gluer belts allow the adhesive-free “Flexproof” joining method. This means, reliable joints can be made effectively and quickly by relatively untrained personnel. Joining on the machine is easy andcan avoid cumbersome dismantling work if installation of an endless belt is not possible. In brief: flexible, abrasion-resistant products, easy to fit and ”best in class performance”.
