What Makes Our Pine Mouldings Different from Competitors?The Extrusion ProcessGesso-Coat Priming Extrusion technology offers a significant quality increase from traditional paint-based priming systems. This process provides a better surface for applying finish coats, resulting in a higher quality finished product. Solvent and water-based paint systems are compatible with extrusion priming and offer excellent adhesion properties.

This extrusion process allows the primed millwork market to enjoy the characteristics of the high quality pre-finish demanded in the picture frame industry.

High Solid Content, Water-Based PrimerThe primer used in this process has the consistency of putty or wood filler when it is applied. It is first extruded onto the profiled moulding. Next, the profiled moulding is run through a template which mates the profile. The removes any excess primer while conforming the high, solid content primer to the profile of the moulding.

This premium pine creates a surface that requires much less prep work and sanding than traditional pine moulding, resulting in cost savings in the final finishing of the material.
