Put your hand in a cup of cold water, what words can you use to describe how it feels?
How many different creatures can you name that live in water?
Find an object suitable to put in the water. What sound does it make as it enters the water? Can you make that sound as quiet as you can? Can you make the smallest splash possible? How did you do it?

Initial Sounds For this activity, you can help your child by talking
about what each picture is. Practise saying the word aloud together before asking what the initial sound is
in each word. Model how to write the letter for your child to copy
reminding them to use the tripod grip.
Perhaps you have some of these items at home and could fill a container with water to test if
they float or sink.
