Reception Home Learning Plan Wednesday Start the day with Jo Wicks 9am PE sessions. Morning-Literacy Look at your story map from Monday. Then walk around the house thinking about how you can change the story using rooms or things in the house i.e. instead of ‘long wavy grass’ you could have ‘a warm cosy living room’ or ‘a soft squishy bed’. Also, could you go hunting for something different? Instead of a bear, you could hunt for a pet or even a dinosaur. Draw pictures and label with the changes you have made to the story. Note-There is a sound mat in with their home learning pack to help remembering the sounds. Children to use the sounds they can hear in the words, this may mean the word is spelt incorrectly. Phonics PowerPoint presentation on the ‘phonics’ page. LUNCH Afternoon- Maths Use the number cards you made last week and order them from 1-20. Identify one more and one less than different numbers. Use any boxes and container you have at home to make a model. Discuss the 3D shapes you have used. Cube, cuboid, cylinder.
