Topic Work:

You do not have to complete all of the activities below.

Make a wearable digestive system. Use a marker pen on a white t shirt to represent the human digestive system. You may use textile paints, stitching or coloured markers to make them look realistic. You could even make it 3D. You may even chose to create this in cardboard, if you prefer.

Learn about good hygiene habits. This could involve different times during the day when we should wash our hands, clean our teeth or have a bath. Create a poster of golden rules for the class to follow. This may be on paper or on the computer.

Investigate whether beans do make you ‘windy’. Make up two identical bowls of food, add a cup of water and mix. Now add a tin of beans to one of the bowls and cover the bowls with cling film. Create a tight seal and leave the bowls somewhere warm for a couple of days. Observe what happens. During your investigation writing a prediction, set of instructions (using imperative verbs and adverbs) and write what happened in your investigation.
