Each week in our Newsletters, we will be shining

the spotlight on a particular class in the school.

This week we would like to share some of the

amazing work already happening in Mrs

Johnson’s Stage 3 class, Bandha…enjoy!

On Wednesday, a large group of CPS staff

travelled to Forbes High School to participate in

the Next Gen Leadership Program running

across the Cowra Network this year. Miss Noble,

Mrs Montgomery and Miss Noal have been

identified as future aspiring school leaders and

will engage in a 12-month professional learning

program to build their skills in this area. Also

involved in this program are Mrs Johnson, Mrs

Oborn, Mr Murray and myself, who will be

taking on a mentoring role to aspiring young

leaders from other schools. This is a wonderful

opportunity for all staff involved and we look

forward to networking with our colleagues

throughout the Cowra area.

School Swimming Carnival

Preparations are well underway for our

school Swimming Carnival which will be held

next Thursday 13th February at the Cowra

Aquatic Centre. Please note that this event is

for ALL Primary students and those Year 2

swimmers who are turning 8 this year. Mr

Garlick has been working hard to get

everything ready to go for what is sure to be an

exciting and fun-filled day at the pool!

Permission notes have been sent home and

students are getting into the spirit with House

war cries being heard across the school.

Parents are encouraged to come along and

be part of the day…I wonder who will take out

the Teachers vs Parents relay this year?

Assemblies

In 2020, assemblies will take place every

fortnight starting tomorrow, Friday 7th February.

Assemblies will be held on Fridays with Primary

from 12:10pm-1:00pm and Infants from 2:25pm-

3:10pm. As per last year, at the end of each

term we will hold a special Whole School

Assembly. For updates and reminders, please

check our school Facebook page or website.

Hope to see you there.

Have a great week…

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PRIVACY AND CUSTODY ISSUES

At CSP we feel that that privacy/permission to publish photographs and access

to photos for separated families is an important issue and one that we wish to

address correctly.

Could you please notify us when providing data, if there are any students that

have restrictions in place preventing their photos being ordered by specific

parents.

We don’t need to know all details - just the name of the student and what

restrictions are in place for example: Tom Smith 4G - Dad (Tim Smith) is not to

order photos.

We receive emails or phone calls from parents requesting ‘lost’ shoot keys, if

we are made aware of a restriction we can prevent this information from being

given out.

Similarly, if students do not have permission for photographs to be published,

then they cannot appear in the group photo – which goes home as part of the

photo package. We need to remove them, or list as absent or just delete from

the group.

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter.

Regards

Cliff and Kay Dykes
