SAFE HANDLING INFORMATION Caution : - Contact may cause eye irritation and slight skin irritation. First aid measures : - Contact with skin : wash skin thoroughly with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing and launder before rewearing. - Contact with eyes: flush eyes with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and then call a physician. - If swallowed : if victim is conscious, dilute the liq- uid by giving the victim water to drink and then call a physician. If the victim is unconscious, call a physician immediately. Never give an unconscious person anything to drink. Toxicity : - Acute oral (LD 50 ) rats : > 5g/kg. MATERIAL SAFETY DATA SHEETS

Rohm and Haas Company maintains Material Safety DataSheets (MSDS) on all of its products. These containimportant information that you need to protect youremployees and customers against any known health andsafety hazards associated with these products.

We recommend you obtain copies of MSDS for ourproducts from your local Rohm and Haas technical rep-resentative or the Rohm and Haas Company. CHEMISTRY AND MECHANISM OF ACTION

ACUMER® 9300 is the sodium salt of a polyacrylic acidselected for optimizing the factors affecting dispersancy :

- polymer molecular weight- polymer composition- polymer structure- mode of surface adsorption

DISPERSION PERFORMANCE

Without dispersant, the particles in a slurry aggregateresulting in an unstable slurry with unacceptablehigh viscosity.

ACUMER® 9300 mining polymer stabilizes highsolids slurries and allows lowering the viscosity to rel-atively low levels at the time of initial formulation andmaintains a low viscosity during storage.

DOSAGE

ACUMER® 9300 is effective at low dosage between 0.2to 0.6 % polymer solids on slurry solids depending onthe nature of the slurry and on the grinding (coarseor fine particles).

APPLICATIONS

ACUMER® 9300 can be used efficiently for the dis-persion of different slurries
