WHAT CAN WE SAY?

Have you ever felt the inadequacy of words? Have you ever felt that nomatter what you said, it just wasn't enough to fully express the way youfeel? Well, that's how I'm feeling today.

Marge and I are currently in the middle of a thousand details as weprepare to return to Kenya, on May 12. But even as we are involved inthese details we are very conscious of the year we have spent here in theStates. And, as we look back over this last year of furlough, our heartsare touched by the many remembrances of kindnesses to us.

We aXQ, ujond^A^ing: just how do we go about thanking everyone for thegracious way we have been received into their homes? And how can I fullyexpress my feeling for the dear little lady who handed me three dollarsat the door following morning worship with the words, "I uU^h it coiiMbt moA.e, bat I onZy havz my SocUal SojiLuUtj^ to iivt on now."

How do we tM, people that if it wasn't for their prayers we wouldnever have made it overseas these past twenty years? Do our friends,and families, and supporters really know how much their words ofencouragement, their letters and cards, and their smiles really mean tous?

And, what about the staff and other personnel back in our ChristianMissionary Fellowship office in Indianapolis: Do they know that wereally appreciate all they do? Are they aware that we know of theirsacrificial dedication to their work? Do our Board members know that weare grateful for their wisdom, their vision, and the time they give?

Do you see what I mean now? We have so many to whom we owe so much. Wehave been strengthened, supported, edified, and encouraged by so manythat we don't know where to begin to say 'thank you.'
