‘Pr ice of L i fe ’ speaks on unheal thy cyc le of people who are los t in the pursu i t o f happiness. The ar t i s t be l ieves people especia l ly cur ren t generat ion are monetar i ly dr iven and mis taken i t for a remedy of thei r unhappiness in l i fe. Wal Chi rachaisaku l very of ten in h is ar t uses dark hue to symbol ize how dis tanced those people are f rom enl ightenment. The ar t i s t resor t s to goth ic and sur real i s t ic approach which resu l t s a tensed mood in order to convey his message bet ter .

Being brought up in a darker envi ronment, the dark mood of h is works seems somewhat re la table and almost fami l iar to Wal. Despi te a l l the negat iv i t ies, the ar t i s t wishes that h is ar tworks are noth ing more but serve as a remembrance and awareness of th is a larming phenomenon which are upon us.

The main subjec t of ‘P r ice of L i fe ’ i s a ‘coin’ which can be seen c lear ly in the only pain t ing of the exhibi t ion. The subjec t metaphor ical ly represents fa lse hope to those who longed for e ternal peace and t ranqui l i ty . Hence, explains the endless chase for mater ia l i s t ic and wor ld ly des i res.

The ar t i s t , Wal Chi rachaisaku l i s the second in ternat ional ar t i s t to par t ic ipate in G13 Projec t Room and he wishes to spread his ar t to neighbor ing count r ies in the region.
