About Mission 10001000 Opportunities. 1000 Lives. 1000 Days
Mission 1000 is a time-bound, outcome-based mission to impact thousands of lives of persons with developmental, severe and multiple disabilities and society at large.Mission 1000 is a campaign that focuses on Inclusive Employment mandated in the GOI Initiative Inclusive India.
Mission 1000 can be adopted by any company and is run for 1000 days and aims to provide 1000 opportunities to persons with developmental, severe and multiple disability and their families. The opportunities can range from open wage employment opportunities to pre-vocational to vocational opportunities to outsourcing job works to inclusive procurement to supporting entrepreneurs. Mission 1000 also aims to impact 1000 lives within the company, their leaders, customers, vendors, service providers and the larger community.
In this coffee table book, we have included case studies of persons with developmental, severe, multiple disabilities who are contributing to family, society and companies. A big thanks to parents and candidates with disability who have given their consent to be featured, as well as support of DNA, Seva-in-Action and other NGOs.
