Did you know?! Facts & figures about Agriculture
Around 11.000 years ago, man began to grow the first domesticated crops.
1,000 years ago a farmer sowed one seed and harvested two.
Today, a farmer plants one seed and harvests 50.
There are 525 million farms around the world today. 87% are found in Asia.
Without chemical crop protection, global harvest losses would amount to up to 40%.

Over 50% of the food produced today is lost during agricultural production & post-harvest

To feed 10 billion people by 2050, we need to address food wastage from the field to the table

We connect partners across the food chain for sustainable broccoli growing in Mexico
Farmers often lack access to know-how, tools and technologies
With our Food Chain Partnerships, we promote sustainable farming practices across the food chain – for healthy & high-quality food
To sustainably address the major challenges, we need A New Revolution in Agriculture
