    19, 1878 - August 1, 1944) served as president of

    3. Jos P. Laurel (March 9,

    1891 - November 5, 1959)

    was the president of theRepublic

    of the Philippines, a Japanese-

    sponsored administration duringWorld War II, from 1943 to

    1945.

    1892 - April 15, 1948)

    he was popularly known as the

    First President of the Third

    Republic. he won the elections by a slim
