President's Scholars

I am a proud President Scholar, University Honors, andBusiness Honors student set to graduate Summa Cum Laudewith a Bachelor of Arts in Business Marketing andPsychology. I am conducting my Honors Senior Thesis on therelationship between mindset and leadership emergence inclass settings. I have been selected as a finalist to compete atthe state-wide CSU Research Competition, and have beenselected to present my findings at the National Conference onUndergraduate Research and the Western Regional HonorsConference. My time at CSUF has been spent serving myuniversity as a Senior Resident Advisor, the ExecutiveDirector of Media Marketing for the Business HonorsProgram, the Programs Director for the Resident StudentAssociation, and the VP of Public Relations for the BusinessHonors Program. I have also represented CSUF at theAmerican Council on Mental Health in New Orleans in 2019.Upon graduation I have accepted a job offer as an AmazonArea Manager. Go Titans!

During my time at CSUF, I served as theadministrative assistant for the Center for Entertainment& Hospitality Management, Vice Chair for ASI’s SpringConcert, Director of External Affairs for the Behind-the-Scenes club, co-lead mentor for the PS incoming class,student ambassador for the Center for Scholars, andjoined an organization called Meeting ProfessionalsInternational for event professionals in SouthernCalifornia. Although no organization has impacted me inthe way my PS/CFS family has. After college I anticipatea career centered in entertainment for theme parkproject management or event production.

I will be a graduating with a bachelor’s degree in

journalism looking to work in sports media. In my free

time, I enjoy gaming, cooking, and role-playing Jordan

Belfort. Half of my time at Cal State Fullerton was

spent in the newsroom of the Daily Titan. During my

semesters as the sports editor, I reported on every

sport on campus, and I even got the chance to travel

to New York, Detroit, and Baltimore for various

tournaments and conferences. You can find me on

Steam or getting into Twitter arguments with people

across the globe about mixed martial arts. If all goes to

plan, I'll have my own office with a big meeting table

Besides being a Lead and PeerMentor for President’s Scholars, I have been involved inBest Buddies Outreach, Physician Assistants ComingTogether, and Tennis for Titans. I had the unforgettableopportunity to study abroad in Greece. Aside fromacademics, I was an office assistant at a private taxfirm, chiropractic intern, Health Scholar and I’mcurrently a Medical Scribe at CHOC EmergencyDepartment. I served as a student ambassador for theWomen’s Leadership Program and I was awardedthe Frederick Douglass Global FellowshipScholarship by the institute of CIEE. Upongraduation, I intend to pursue a career in the non-profit organization sector and continue to supportunderrepresented communities.

On campus, I have been involvedwith Best Buddies, the CSUF Pre-OT Club, and workedfor four years with an incredible team at the FacultyDevelopment Center. I have furthered my passion foroccupational therapy by volunteering with Karate forAll and 211 Orange County, interning with CaliforniaRehabilitation and Sports Therapy, and participating inKeck Graduate Institute’s Pre-OT program. Aftergraduation, I plan to apply to occupational therapyprograms and gain work experience in healthcare andLGBTQ+ organizations in my community.

As a result of my academic achievement, Iwas selected by the American Studies Department toreceive the 2020-2021 Academic Achievement Award.During my time at CSUF, I have been involved in thePresident’s Scholar Program, served as an AmericanStudies representative for the HSS Inter-Club Council,and was an editor for a student-run journal called theAmerican Papers. I also interned at a history-basedpublishing company in Orange and conducted researchanalyzing disability and sport in the U.S. I hope to takemy passion for social justice, fueled by my studies inAmerican Studies and Sociology, to help others. I am graduating in May 2021 with a Bachelor of Sciencein Nursing Degree. I have a special connection to theNeonatal Population and am passionate about criticalcare nursing. I hope to combine these two to become aNeonatal Intensive Care Unit Nurse and Charge Nursein the future. I hope to travel across the world and mostlook forward to visiting Indonesia. Faith is a big part ofmy life, and I would like to combine my love for healthcare with my love for God by participating in medicalmissions to third-world countries and providing aidwhile sharing the love and peace of Jesus. I would alsolike to volunteer for an organization related topreventing Human Trafficking and rescuing andassisting victims of human trafficking to live healthierand happier lives. In the summer of 2021, I hope to takethe NCLEX and officially become a Registered Nurse.

I enjoyed beinga PS Lead Mentor for one year and Peer Mentor fortwo. Within the School of Nursing, I was chosen byfaculty and peers to be my cohort's representative for3 years. I have also been an HHD Peer Mentor,Nursing Student Association board member, andOrientation Leader. I am excited to join the nursingprofession and I hope to pursue either Telemetry orPediatrics. I have been onthe Dean's List every semester and haveparticipated in the President's Scholar Program, theNIH-funded MARC Program, and the UniversityHonors Program. On campus, I work in thelaboratory of Dr. Nicholas Salzameda and myresearch project is focused on designing smallmolecule inhibitors has potential drug therapeuticsfor the West Nile Virus. After graduation, I plan onapplying to MD/PhD programs with the goal ofbecoming a physician scientist with an emphasis inepidemiology and virology.

I enjoy rockclimbing, surfing, and backpacking in new places.I am currently an intern at Dynamc. In thecompany, we design custom machinery toautomate various tasks in the aerospace,automation, pharmaceutical, and food industries.After graduating I will begin a full-time positionas a mechanical engineer for Dynamc.

I have been a partof the President’s Scholars Program for 4 years where Ihave held many leadership positions including PeerCoach, Lead Mentor, Social Chair, and President.During my academic journey at CSUF I studied abroadin Greece and have been on the Dean’s List for theCollege of HHD. As researcher, I helped determineeffectiveness of compression therapy on DOMS inathletes. Professionally, I worked on-campus at thePhysical Therapy and Sports Rehabilitation clinic for 3years, and I am currently working as the OfficeManager at 123 Pediatric Therapy in West Covina. Aftergraduation, I plan on attending PT school to receive myDoctorate in Physical Therapy and work in eitherPediatrics or Sports Medicine.
