Tri-Village R/C Meeting Minutes - January 2, 2020
30 members attended the meeting.
FAA: The FAA is thinking about a coming test for RC Pilots but they don’t have any further info as of now. May be a test, who knows. So far nothing is happening.
The Club Charter with AMA will be renewed and we needed to add on for the Insurance our monthly meeting place in Schaumburg “ The Barn” as a request from The Village of Schaumburg.
The April meeting will be canceled because Village of Schaumburg gave this date for the Blood Drive.
December 2019 food drive was a success again. The Weather was really not in favor of the event. It was windy and pretty cold. Thanks to Bob Larsen and Steve Hey there was Hot Chilly, from Bob and Steve served hot chocolate.
We collected a total of $ 1995.00 and bought 150 Hams which were split up between Schaumburg Food Pantry and Hanover Food Pantry. Many members also brought other goods that had been given to the Pantry’s.
A special inside look was given by Ed Goldin from his humanitarian trip to Vietnam. His brother and 21 other people went on a Trip to Vietnam in November. If somebody is interested to read more about the organization which his brother started you can ask Ed direct or look it up on line.
Here is the link for the website. Very interesting www.schoolstoendpoverty.org
Show and tell: Bob Larsen brought his Ziroli Spitfire in. It is ready to be painted and looks great.
March 2020 will be the show and tell meeting. What project some of the members have worked on or
completed over the winter month , please bring it in to – show and tell about it.
