Here it is the end of the year. How time does fly when you’re having fun. It has been a fun year for all of us who enjoy live music whether it be for

listening or dancing or both. We have had some excellent bands this year and theCommittee has signed most of the bands for next year (2013). Speaking of bands, how about our last session with Rich (The Bear).Owens’ Thrown Together Jazz Band? There was nothing thrown together aboutthis band. All are accomplished musicians. We still need someone for MembershipChairperson for the New Year. Our next session will bring us the Au BrothersBand with Uncle Howard Miyata. They have played at several festivals aroundthe country. Come join us for December 16, 2012. Remember this is the thirdSaturday. See you all there and help keep live music alive.

Mal SilvaP.S. Membership dues for 2013 are due. See Marj at the front desk.

At ChristmasThe music helped the angels to sing,in honor of the birth of “Christ.”It was a sound chimes did give, while Christmas held this delight.

Christmas Eve with spirit sang,it’s songs throughout the day.Bringing tidings as bells rang, with “Christ” to help us pray.

The choir sang songs of joy,as the trumpets did begin. All were happy like the girls and boys, and also peace within.

Many sang the carols we know, around the Christmas tree.Presents lay there this we know, while hearts were full and free.

Music makes our life complete, while the holiday is our treat.Christmas spirit is now the thing, and the gifts that many bring.

Yes, Christmas is a day to remember, for a “Christ” who died for us all.Christmas be his birth in December, and from a “God,” who loves us all.
