INDIAN FEDERATION OF CULINARY ASSOCIATIONS’ AWARDS Proud member of IFCA- THE ORGANIZERS OF THE CONVENTION The Indian Federation of Culinary Associations is a nodal body of culinary professional in India and is an independent, apolitical, non-religious. IFCA was formed with the idea of developing the culinary profession and to showcase Indian culinary knowledge and propagating various kinds of food and bringing obscure culinary styles and practices to the forefront. IFCA AND WACS (WORLD ASSOCIATION OF CHEF SOCIETIES) IFCA is National member of the World Association of Chef Societies (WACS), the apex body of culinary professionals the world over with 8.6 million members, considered to be the UN of the culinary profession and is recognized by 93 countries. IFCA constantly works towards raising the standards of culinary trade, developing the art of fine cooking, upholding the general interests of the professional and professional and promoting goodwill by always setting high ethical standards. OBJECTIVE FOR INSTITUTION OF AWARDS Indian Federation of Culinary Associations, a National level nodal body engaged in the development and promotion of professional culinary skills in individuals and organisations support all such activities in practical culinary, training, research and campaigning for recognition and appreciation of culinary arts and people engaged in it. In the process of such a lofty objective, IFCA identifies and felicitates Chefs across different parts of the country and all those engaged in the promotion of culinary arts on the stage of important events. The presentation of Awards at the 1st National Young Chefs Convention is one such initiative. Candidate eligibility Candidates selected for the Awards are expected to be with a high degree of creativity, talent and passion, and are well versed in the respective disciplines for which Awards are identified to be presented. CANDIDATE MUST: be a Culinary Student, Professional Chef or people / organizations engaged in Training, Research or marketing & promotion of culinary arts. be a Second / Third year Student of UG or student of PG in Culinary discipline of any Culinary School within India OR those who have passed out of Culinary School and looking for a suitable placement OR the candidates should be professional chefs. The Nominees could be individuals or organizations & Hotels who are currently engaged in Training, Research or marketing & promotion of culinary arts. not have applied /not have been a Recipient of any other State, Regional or National award from any organization . APPLICATION GUIDELINES The complete nomination package must include: A completed application form. A professional resume of the candidate. Attested Copies of Testimonials for achievements Each document is not to exceed two pages. SELECTION PROCESS Judges panel of IFCA presidium will scrutinise the profiles and achievements of the nominees to decide for Award in the suitable category. Application must be sent to ([email protected]) with all attachment in soft copy and hard copy to be hand over to IFCA secretariat by post or in person.
