A ready to use formulation containing

Triclopyr BEE in a propriety blend of raw

natural and processed plant oils for LOW

VOLUME basal, cut stump and foliar

treatment of various species.

• Turbodor 29 MPA is a highly effective

systemic herbicide for the control of a

broad range of species

• Is an ready to use (RTU) which provides

for an easy application and requires no

mixing with water

• Highly effective on certain invader plant

species which are currently difficult to

control with conventional herbicides

features and how it works:

basal treatment

• Turbodor 29 MPA consists of a propriety natural oil blend designed to

spread and stick onto the target plant material for effective

penetration

• Precision application is important when using Turbodor 29 MPA

• Precision application will assist in achieving a higher efficacy against

targeted species and also minimize product wastage when sprayed

features and how it works:

• Precision application with Turbodor 29 MPA can be achieved for various

application methods with Ecoguard Specialised Spray Equipment

Page 6: PRESENTS - Ecoguard · For cacti species, a low volume fine full cover spray is required on all cladodes and stem, essentially covering the entire surface of the plant CAUTION - Be

Specialised Spray Equipment

Specialised spray equipment is important for achieving

precision application with Turbodor 29 MPA

With the correct equipment and application method, one

can largely save on volume wastage when spraying and

improve efficacy

Specialised spray equipment includes:

• 80˚low volume flat fan nozzle

• 1 Bar pressure regulator

• 100-Mesh Strainer

• Extended lances

Page 7: PRESENTS - Ecoguard · For cacti species, a low volume fine full cover spray is required on all cladodes and stem, essentially covering the entire surface of the plant CAUTION - Be

80˚ Flat Fan nozzle

A special low volume nozzle XR 80015 VS has shown to

minimize wastage of Turbodor through a fine spray

application

It is a Tee-Jet flat-fan nozzle with a stainless steel insert

The angle together with the fine spray application

ensures very low volumes of herbicide sprayed as well as

a good spray delivery

100-Mesh Strainer

Acts as a filter / strainer for the volume of herbicide

sprayed to prevent debris in the spray-tank from

blocking the aperture of the nozzle spray tip.

Page 8: PRESENTS - Ecoguard · For cacti species, a low volume fine full cover spray is required on all cladodes and stem, essentially covering the entire surface of the plant CAUTION - Be

Specialised Spray Equipment

1 Bar Pressure Regulator

• Regulates the pressure of the sprayer at 1 BAR

ensuring consistent delivery of Turbodor at 1 bar (low

pressure).

• Keeps the droplet size constant to minimise spray-drift

(Higher pressures produces finer droplet sizes, making

it more susceptible to drift)

• The one-way valve will decrease drip and wastage

from the lance spray tip. Immediately once you have

stopped the spray trigger it will prevent any volume

from being released.

• There are 2 designs of the 1 Bar pressure regulator –

one is the yellow type and the other black with a yellow

cap.

Spray kit

Field tests have shown that a volume output of between

15-25 ml per stem is easily obtainable with a complete

spray kit fitted to your lance

Volume output will come to 6ml per 1 second pull of the

spray-trigger

Spray kits are available at Ecoguard Biosciences and

include:

Extended lances

• For plants with thorns or hard to reach basal areas, there are longer lances

available in 1m and 1,5m lengths.

• It is light weight, easy to use and can penetrate through brush, thorns and other

obstacles to reach the base of the stem for applying Turbodor

• Prevents operator fatigue (less bending) and lessens injuries by thorns and

branches.

Page 11: PRESENTS - Ecoguard · For cacti species, a low volume fine full cover spray is required on all cladodes and stem, essentially covering the entire surface of the plant CAUTION - Be

Precision Application Methods

• The execution of application is just as important as the

correct product and spray-equipment.

Methods for Turbodor 29 MPA include:

• Full-cover foliar (cacti species)

• Cut-stump

• Basal single-stem

• Basal multi-stem

Page 12: PRESENTS - Ecoguard · For cacti species, a low volume fine full cover spray is required on all cladodes and stem, essentially covering the entire surface of the plant CAUTION - Be

Foliar application of

Foliar application requires a light full cover spray of

the foliage of the targeted plant

For cacti species, a low volume fine full cover spray is

required on all cladodes and stem, essentially

covering the entire surface of the plant

CAUTION - Be wary of spray drift, especially near

crops

Turbodor may yellow grass, as the natural oil blend

settles on the leaf blade surface. The grass however,

cut stump which exposes the cambium

cambium as well as to the full

circumference of the remaining stem

down to the root-crown

Basal application of

Single-stem Trees

Fit the 80˚ flat fan nozzle at a vertical angle for single

stem trees

A vertical angle will allow for good coverage of the stem

and will minimise spray from missing the targeted stem.

Turbodor 29 MPA spreads well and often with thin stems

you will only require a single burst of Turbodor

The thickness of the stem diameter will determine how

many bursts of Turbodor 29 MPA you’ll require to

effectively wet the full circumference of the stem from

the specified height down to the root crown

Page 15: PRESENTS - Ecoguard · For cacti species, a low volume fine full cover spray is required on all cladodes and stem, essentially covering the entire surface of the plant CAUTION - Be

Basal application of

Multi-stem Trees

Fit the 80 nozzle horizontally on the tip of the lance

The horizontal angle will allow you to spray a flat fan that

will cover multiple stems with a single burst of Turbodor 29

MPA

Spray from the specified height down to and including the

root crown

Ensure the full circumference of all the stems are

effectively wet with Turbodor to prevent any regrowth

An extension lance can be helpful getting through thick

multi-stem brush and other obstacles to the targeted base

of stems

Dry season application of

can kill plants

throughout the winter or

dry season, provided the

plant is not in a state of

dormancy

This is due to sap flow

occurring throughout the

year for certain species

such as Opuntia species

(cactus).

If a plant has sap flow, the

active ingredient can be

translocated and

effectively kill the plant. Acacia mellifera dead after basal
