Cowichan Seniors Community Foundation Seeks Volunteers ‐ Just 1 or 2 Hours per Week or "On Call" The Cowichan Seniors Community Foundations provides services to seniors in theirhomes, so they can remain safely at home, "aging in place". In  Cowichan, theseprograms are provided by a small army of volunteers and the need increasesdaily. The Foundation is looking for volunteers who can help by driving toappointments or delivering meals. These small gestures help seniors stay at home,among  family, friends and community.A commitment of one or two hours a week helps someone stay at home safely,and avoid moving to a (distant) assisted living facility. Can't make a regular commitment? Canadian not‐for‐profit organizations, including corporations, trusts, cooperatives and unincorporatedassociations;Canadian business corporations, including partnerships, trusts and joint ventures where projects are non‐commercial in nature;Canadian schools; and,Canadian municipal governments and their institutions.
