Objectives of todays webinar
• Introduce the SOLAR-ERA.NET Cofund call
• Talk through timelines and requirements
• Introduce the follow up online brokering session on 12th December 2016
Main Principles
• Industry driven / relevant PV and CSP projects, minimum ~TRL 5+
• Minimum consortia requirements: – 2 partners with at least 1 partner from industry
– And 2 different countries officially participating in the Cofund joint call (relevant organisations from other
countries may participate with their own funding)
• Duration maximum 36 months
• National funding, criteria and priorities vary from country to country (national
rules). Some funding bodies do not participate in all topics.
à Project partners must get in touch with their national contact points as projects
are funded at national or regional levels following individual requirements.
• Time table:
à Preproposals: 20 February 2017, highest quality invited to full stage.
à Full proposals: 15 June 2017
à Start of transnational projects funded: end of 2017 / early 2018

National Requirements
Check national requirements listed in the Guidelines and with
your funding agency with respect to:
• Topics
• Type of RTD
• Eligible applicants
• Budget
• Further specifications
Procedure and ESS
• Check your project idea with your national funding agency as early as possible.
• All funding agencies concerned are to be contacted (not only the «coordinator’s
funding agency»).
• Use the Electronic Submission System (ESS) as early as possible (be informed
what is needed).
• All partners have to submit some information in the ESS – involve your partners
as early as possible for a smooth procedure.
ESS: Submitting a proposal
• Only the coordinator registers at: www.submission-solar-era.net
• The coordinator adds all partners and sends invitations.
• Only one access per institution (partner) is possible.
• Each partner has to o Login at least once,
o Check and complete all personal information,
o Confirm that he/she has contacted their national funding agency.
o Please make sure, that each partner has done this in time before the deadline!
• Only the coordinator can enter project relevant data, the partners can only check
and download the actual submission status.
• An example project will be available on www.solar-era.net latest with the opening
of the call.
