and packers throughout California. We specialize in supplying Confectionery, Bakery and

Biscuits, Pastry and Chocolate Industries around the world with high quality, close to zero

foreign material almonds meeting each customers' precise specifications.

Founded in 1885 by the Sisto family, the company has established and maintained a family

tradition reputation throughout the years.

ALFRUS specialize in producing almonds for use as an ingredient in the

confectionary, bakery, cereal, health, and snack food industries.

Our manufacturing facility houses blanching, dry roasting, and cutting

lines for producing sliced, slivered, diced and milled almonds.

Natural shelled almonds delivered to our facilities are cleaned, sized, andsorted. Metal detection, laser and electronic sorting equipment is used toremove foreign material and damaged kernels.

Hand sorting provides visual assurance that the product is clean and readyfor packaging. We can achieve the low levels for foreign material requiredto meet the strict specifications of confectionery grade products.

Maximizing efficiency thru lean production allows us to provide competitive pricing

for our customers. Our investment in new technologies ensures that every order is

efficiently filled to the customer's specifications, even during peak periods of

demand.

Almond Storage GuidelinesThanks to natural antioxidants Almonds have a long shelf life. This is why they can maintain their taste longer than other nuts and be stored from one year to the next yet maintaining excellent food safety conditions.

To maximize Almond Shelf Life, prevent oxidation and maintain an ideal flavor:

• Almonds can be stored frozen, this extends the shelf life significantly; however, it’s essential to use suitable packaging to protect products from icing and moisture.• Store almonds in cool, dry, odor-free conditions.• Avoid extended exposure to direct sunlight.• Avoid exposure to strong odors.

INVESTMENT AND DEVELOPMENT

• Over 7m euros invested by Alfrus during the period 2006-2016

• July 2017 Alfrus finalized the expansion of the business thru the acquisition ofNatural Food in Coseano, Udine – Italy, adding a 36.000 sq/mt plant,investment that will provide a long-term stability and strengthen relationshipwith key European and global customers.

• 2018 The Sisto brothers launched “Alfrus 2020” a 25m Euro investment plan,initiative aimed to comprehensively upgrade Alfrus productivity, quality andservice thru latest generation high tech reducing to minimum levels humanimpact thus contamination of any form.

Coseano facility Expansion Plan Once the ABC new lines are installed,the old lines will be dismantled, tomake room for the roasting and saltingline, including vacuum and nitrogenpackaging.Before installing the roaster, we willwork on rebuilding the premises

Latest technology refrigerated and controlled atmosphere storage:➢1 incoming raw material 2750 pallets.➢1 finished product 900 pallets.

This line will include automatic filling in, box / bag / big bag. This line will also include a larger oven to be able to produce blanched almonds with 3% moisture.

The two lines will be equipped of innovative, fully automated, high-performance optical sorting machines, for the removal of discolored products and foreign material, in particular: ➢2 optical sorters for Raw Natural Almonds (foreign material + defects sorting)➢1 optical sorter for Blanched Almonds➢1 X-Ray sorter for finished product

Expansion plan adds to existing 30000 sq/mt of which 24500 sq/mt reserved to Offices and Services.All production lines will be equipped of components including innovative automatic sanitization system, aimed at guaranteeing a low bacterial load.All lines will be interconnected thru a management system network.

ENVIRONMENT

Alfrus Srl, is fully committed in maintaining and pursuing high level standards ofenvironmental and quality control .

In 2010 financing incentives through tax credits, helped Alfrus install a 100 Kw solartracking system to cover 40% of its total power needs.

In 2007 in line with the environmental standards Alfrus Srl was awarded with theISO14001 certification for Environmental Management System Information.
