Conventions Conventions Use Develop Challenge Was there an

inspiration/ similarity from real film? How?

1. The idea of recording in the daylight using natural lighting

Challenge Mostly horror films are in the dark to represent evil

2. Location of a field Use Walking dead zombies walking in field

3. Having the door open Use Most films have this as a sign that something is going to happen

4. Getting bitten by zombie Use

Most zombie films have this to show the how the virus is spreading when a person gets bitten

5. Seeing the transformation of the zombie Develop Films just show the zombie turning and not the whole transformation

6. Having close-ups Develop

Dawn of the dead has close-ups which inspired us as you can establish the zombies features and allows us to compare them to humanity

7. Having the flashbacks when transforming Challenge

No, zombies can’t have flashbacks. In most of the films they just turn immediately

of familiarity but is also unique and different in some ways
