Hychlorator

- this equipment directly electrolyzes seawater to generate sodium hypochlorite and injects it into seawater line such as condenser, cooler and so on..

- prevent the deposition and growth of marine organisms

- prevent seawater line from the build up and growth of barnacles & other marine life in seawater.

Anodic reaction :

2Cl Cl2 + 2e

Cathodic reaction :

2Na + 2( OH + H ) + 2e (2NaOH) + H2

Sodium Hypochlorite

The electrolyzed seawater containing sodium hypochlorite in injected in sea chest, to be mixedwith the seawater taken from the sea, for preventing the deposition and growth of marine organismson the surfaces of inside pipes and coolers, etc..

Effects of Marine Growth

As the marine organisms flourish they block and narrow the passage of cooling water in the barge system resulting in the following factors:

Impairing the heat transfer system

Overheating of several water-cooled machineries

Increase in the rate of corrosion and thinning of pipes

Reduced efficiency which can lead to loss of time
