Initiatives Around Sustainability



The transformation of the urban ring road M-30, into an underground highway, has been the largest operation of Madrid environmental rebalancing recent history

This operation have allowed to reduce by 35,000 tons the CO2 emissions

We have won more than 3,200,000 sq. meters of green areas, where over 26,000 trees will be planted



The technology and investment are being applied to the sustainable management of waste and water

Madrid recycle 100% of its waste water, 500 million cubic meters which are returned to the river

Madrid has succeeded in reducing by 50% of the organic disposable matter. We are about to build the first biomethanol plant of Europe
