evaluation handout, decide on characteristics of good paraphrasing and quoting with your partner.

Task 4: Second post with paraphrases and quotesYou will write an extended post on uniforms by incorporating your “draft 1” and ideas from your partner’s “draft 1”. To do this:

a. Read your partner’s “draft 1” post.b. Highlight 3 ideas (sentences or phrases) that you

would like to use in your post.c. Paraphrase 2 of your partner’s ideas and quote the

3rd in the body of your post where appropriate.d. Write your new essay in a new post:

e. Reference these like in the Zhong and Kelly examples by linking to that post.

Task 5: Evaluating your partner’s paraphrases and use of quotes.

a)Read your partner’s “Uniforms – draft 2” post. Look at the hyperlinked sections specifically. Find the sentence or phrase that your partner has attempted to use.

b)Using the Paraphrasing and Quoting evaluation we created in class, discuss your partner’s use of your ideas.

c) Leave your suggestions as a comment on the post.*
