Irregular yo forms
• Some verbs are regular everywhere but in the yo form
• Ver: veo saber: sé
• Some verbs have a yo form that ends in –go
• Vengo, tengo, pongo, salgo, hago, digo, oigo, traigo
Verbs that end in vowel/cer or vowel/cir
• Verbs with a vowel before cer and cir add a z in the yo form only
• Conocer: conozco (conoces, conoce..)
• Conducir: conduzco (conduces, conduce)
• Merecer, traducir, parecer, producir
• Merezco, traduzco, parezco, produzco
Verbs that end in uir (but NOT guir)
• Verbs that end in –uir conjugate in a similar way to oír: that is, they add a y in all forms but nosotros and vosotros
• Oír (oigo) oyes, oye, oímos, oís, oyen
• Huir: huyo, huyes, huye, huimos huis, huyen
• Distribuir: distribuye, distribuyes, distribuye
• Distribuimos, distribuis, distribuyen

• Some verbs have root words in common verbs and will be conjugated with the same irregularities: they are also cognates for some common English verbs

• Poner (pose) compongo, supone, impone
• Traer (tract) atraigo, contrae, distraen
