We also provide technical support during the planning and construction phases of projects. Our comprehensive range of services cover value engineering, feasibility studies, preliminary designs, alternative proposals, detailing, shop drawings and project coordination; we can also execute the work through our personnel and equipments and including different types of slabs (flat, slab on beams, ribbed, waffle, ground bearing slabs, water tanks and transfer structures) All our designs and execution works are done according to internationally standards codes and stressing systems, and are carried out by professionally qualified engineers. Post-Tensioning is a technique of pre-loading the concrete in a manner which eliminates, or reduces, the tensile stresses that are induced by the dead and live loads. Today’s construction market is highly competitive, and Post Tensioning construction is chosen because its advantages, given the local conditions and circumstances of the projects clearly favor it.
Advantages of Post Tensioning Concrete
1. Controlled cracking
2. High compressive strength of concrete is utilized
3. Reduction in depth of beams (common depth/span ratios of 1:20)
4. Reduction in depth of slab (common depth/span ratios of 1:40)
5. Reduction in column and foundation size
6. Webs of Prestressed beams are much thinner
7. Up to 25% less dead weight than reinforced concrete
8. Less self-weight compared to reinforced concrete
9. Very economic and structurally efficient over 8m. spans.
10. Flexibility in planning & design.
11. Excellent load bearing performance in grand slabs.
12. Controlled deflection.
13. Smaller quantities of reinforcement required reducing cost of materials
and labor.
14. Standardized details used reducing lead time and labor.
15. A Prestressed structure is ‘pre-tested’ since a significant load is applied
through pressurizing.
