What is ETHICS ?Ethics is a set of moral principles guiding a philosophy dealing with concepts of right or wrong and good or bad actions.

Why ethics is important?

Ethics is a requirement for human life . It is our means of deciding a course of action . Ethics is studding and talking about what is right and wrong, good and bad.Whether men understand it or not, they are impelled by that power behind to become unselfish.That is the foundation of morality.

Ethical Principles:-Beneficence:- -Means doing good to others. -Our action and thoughts must be beneficial for others.Least Harm:- -Our actions must result in least harm to others.Autonomy:- -We have to respect the autonomy of others for performing action. -We should not impose our views on others.

Non-violence or Peace:- -To stop violence and do not support who resort to it.Justice:- -Our actions must be such that they are fare to everyone.Truthfulness:- -It is quality of telling and supporting to the truth. Benefits of ethics1.Improved society.2.Supports employee growth.3.Strong public image.

Business Ethics:-Business ethics is a form of applied ethics or professional ethics that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that arise in a business environment.

Engineering Ethics:-Engineering ethics is the field of applied ethics and system of moral principles that apply to the practice of engineering.

What is Values ?It is the fundamental constructs, principles, or standards developed over a period of time that we use as a reference to base our decision and actions.

Practices of the Human Values at WorkTruth speaking honestly with employees and customers; -- speaking openly and caringly rather than behind someones back

Righteousness conducting business with fair prices and ethical practices; -- keeping agreements with all stakeholders -- taking responsibility for problems, -- rather than making excuses

Practices of the Human Values at WorkLove connecting to a higher purpose in life in which you can care for and serve others through your work; listening generously and compassionately to others rather than being judgmental

Non-Violence conducting business that is environmentally friendly; finding win-win solutions to problems, rather than winning at anothers expense

Practices of the Human Values at WorkPeace practicing equanimity, even in crises or loss; --seeing yourself as the source of your emotional reactions, --rather than the victim of others behaviour

Classification of Values.Self-direction:- -Independent thoughts and action, choosing creating, and exploring.Power:- -Social status and prestige, control over the people and resources.Security:- -Safety, harmony and stability of society, relationships and self.Enjoyment:- -Simply put, we want feel good!Stimulation:--We want to be involved in creative , intelligent, and physical challenges.Achievement:--We want to have proven accomplishment and general success. Conformity:- -The issue of respect for people, and elders.
