Personal AppearanceHair which is longer than chin length should be tied back. Hair fastenings, bands and ribbons may be dark green or black. Only soft Alice hair bands are allowed.
The wearing of nail polish and make-up is not acceptable in school.
All girls should dress appropriately for school and therefore hem lengths on tunics, dresses and skirts should be no more than 10cm above the knee.
Jewellery and Religious SymbolsDiscreet religious symbols are permitted.
Early Years - no items of jewellery or wrist watches are to be worn. Should your daughter wear earrings please ensure they are removed prior to coming into school if she has PE (including Dance, Swimming and Gym) or Ballet that day.
From Year 3 and in Senior School, watches only may be worn with school ~uniform. If earrings have to be worn because of pierced ears, small stud earrings in either gold or silver only are allowed, one in the lobe of each ear. Any other jewellery will be confiscated.
It is essential for Health & Safety reasons that all watches, earrings and religious symbols are removed for PE lessons, including Dance, Gym and Swimming, as well as for Ballet. Your daughter should give them to the member of the PE staff teaching her at the time before the lesson begins.
No responsibility can be taken for the loss of any of these items.

NamingAll clothing must be named in an obvious place, e.g. inside a collar, to make it easier for girls to identify their own clothing and that of others. There are many suppliers of personalised labels online. All supply sew-on or iron-on labels at reasonable prices - www.uniform4kids.com www.nameitlabels.co.uk www.wovenlables.com
Early Years - please encourage your child to look for her own name on items of clothing when she is dressing herself.
Children wear shoes with their uniform and supportive trainers, not fashion footwear, for PE.
In the Summer Term when the uniform dress is worn, Early Years children are to wear shoes. Shoes should not contain dolls as this distracts the girls. No flashing shoes or patent leather shoes are allowed.
