BEST OF BREED (VARIETY) COMPETITION
Veterans - 7 years and over NOT Eligible for Best ofBreed (Sunday only)
Bred-by-Exhibitor Class eligibility: All dogs enteredin the Bred-by-Exhibitor Class must be individuallyregistered with the AKC. The Person handling the dogmust be a breeder of record of the dog and an ower ofrecord of the dog. To exhibit in this class, familymembers must be a breeder and owner of record.
A judge requesting the use of a ramp must give notice to the show superintendent/show secretary prior to judging.AKC approval is not required.
The entire entry in a breed is to be examined in the same manner (ground, table or ramp).
At the discretion of the judge, the following breeds may be judged on the ground or on a ramp through all levelsof competition including Group and Best in Show judging: Clumber Spaniel, English Springer Spaniels, FieldSpaniels, Welsh Springer Spaniels, Irish Terriers, Kerry Blue Terriers, Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers, StaffordshireBull Terriers, Keeshonden, Norwegian Buhunds, Polish Lowland Sheepdogs and Norrbottenspets (Misc).
At the discretion of the judge through all levels of competition including Group and Best in Show judging, thefollowing breeds may be judged on the ground, a ramp or on a table: Boykin Spaniels and Whippets.
The following breeds must be judged on a ramp through all levels of conformation competition: Sussex Spaniels,Basset Hounds, Bulldogs, Chinese Shar-Pei and Chow Chows. This extends to all conformation competition atAKC conformation doing shows and any AKC event where a conformation title may be earned. This policy includesGroup, BIS, Junior Showmanship, the 4-6 Month Beginner Puppy Competition, the AKC National Owner-HandledSeries (NOHS), and all other special attractions that offer Group and BIS competitions.
Ramps may be used in emergency situations to judge any ground breed. In an emergency situation, where useof a ramp is not indicated in the premium list, an exhibitor has the option of withdrawing their entry and receivinga refund.
For the judging of juniors the ramp may be used at the discretion of the judge for the ramp optional breeds.

Puppy Extravaganza - Saturday, March 8, 2020Best Puppy in Show Competition. Ribbons, Rosettes and Prizes will be awarded. No additional entry required.Best of Breed Puppy will be selected by breed judge following each Best of Breed. Best Puppy in Group will beselected following group competition in the Puppy Group Ring. Best Puppy in Show will be selected prior to Bestin Show judging.These AKC approved special events allow the puppy class winner in each breed to be judged immediately followingBest of Breed to determine Best Puppy. If the puppy wins Best of Winners or Best of Breed it is automatically BestPuppy. The Best Puppy will then compete in their respective Puppy Groups for First through Fourth placements.If a puppy wins first place in the regular group prior to the Puppy Group being judged, the Puppy Group will be heldto award 2nd, 3rd and 4th places. The seven winners of the Puppy Groups will then compete for Best Puppy inShow.

The calendar for this class will consistent with the eligibility dates for theAKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to entry the Master Classand may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time framefor that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year.

If a dog is entered in more than one class inone of these events, the AKC Recording Fee and Service Fee is to be collected on the first entry only. ERRORS ON ENTRY BLANKS. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make sucherrors, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after the published closingdate.
NO REFUND FOR DUPLICATE ENTRIES. We will make every effort to find all duplicate entries, but if a dog hasbeen processed, no refund will be made.
CONSULT JUDGING PROGRAM FOR TIME OF JUDGING.DOGS MAY ARRIVE any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. DOGS NOT REQUIRED for further judging will be
excused.JUDGES WILL NOT WAIT FOR ANY DOG HOLDING UP A CLASS. Owners or agents alone are responsible
for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. The show-givingclub and the superintendent have no obligation or responsibility for providing service through a public addresssystem or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring whenrequired.
ALL DOGS PRESENT must be held on leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in theexercising ring.
THE SHOW COMMITTEE/SUPERINTENDENT will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs andexhibitors, but will not be responsible for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune toeither dogs or exhibitors participating in this show.

INSTRUCTIONS1. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of a breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety
you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniels (Black, ASCOB, Parti-color), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in.; over 13 in. but not exceeding15 in.), Dachshunds (Longhaired, Smooth, Wirehaired), Bull Terriers (Colored, White), Manchester Terriers (Standard, Toy),Chihuahuas (Smooth Coat, Long Coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles(Toy, Miniature, Standard), Collies (Rough, Smooth).
2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed Competition: Dogs that are Champions of Recordand dogs which, according to their owner's records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championshipsare unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is Limited to a period of 90 days from thedate of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship.
3. (Dog Show Class) Consult the classification in this premium list, if the dog show class in which you are entering your dog is divided,then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e., agedivision, color division, weight division.
4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for a show closed. If a registered doghas been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any show for which entries closed after thedate of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recordedin his name. State on the entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to A.K.C. (For complete rule refer to Chapter14, Section 3.).
5. Mixed Breed dogs entering classes for Agility, Obedience and Rally trials should mark Breed as AKC Canine Partners Listed Dog "All-American Dog/Mixed Breed." Variety, Breeder, Sire, Dam information shall remain blank for mixed breed etrants.
