Application

The TKH PAPI Systems fulfil the lastest ICAO international standards and recommended Practices for Aerodromes– Annex 14, Vol. 1 and Aerodrome Design Manual part 4, Visual aids. Precision Approach Path Indicator Systemfor runways. The basic systems can also be used for the sahrp Transition PAPI-system (Precision Approach PathIndicator) especially for short Take-Off and landing Stolport runways ( AN / 899).

Features

• Easily installed and adjusted

• The optical unit built like a cassette for easy cleaning

• Lamp change and maintenance without optical re-alignment

• No tool needed for relamping

• Non-corrosive cabinet of a reliable mechanicalconstruction

• Three pc. 200 W / 6.6 A halogen lamps, with anaverage lifetime of 1,000 hours at 100 %

• Also available with 2 pc. 200 W/6.6 A halogen lamps

• Each optical system can be adjusted seperately

• The PAPI units can as an option be supplied with aheater system (25 W per lamp)

ICAO requirements for PAPI light

These curves are for minimum intensities in red light. The intensity value in the white sector of the beam is no lessthan 2 and may be as high as 6.5 times the corresponding intensity in the red sector.
