RULE OF THIRDS

Centering your subject is less interesting

Divide the frame into thirds, both vertically and horizontally

Picture a tic-tac-toe board overlaying your screen.

Place your key subject elements along those lines.

If close up, align eyes 2/3’s up (along the top “line”)

Where the lines intersect will be the best place for your subject.
