estimated plant capacity before

accepting the same. However, the

minimum plant capacity shall be as

HVAC 336 6.2 Inside Design Conditions - 6 mm wc of positive pressure .

Kindly clarify whether the dehumidified CFM indicated

by you for AHU is incoporating the capacity to maintain

this 6 mm wc pressurization .

The dehumidified CFM indicated in

the MR is based on the heat load

calculation. Architectural

constructional details (e.g doors,

windows etc.) of the buildings shall

be as per architectural drawings

We are manufacturing Vapour Absorption Machine

(VAM) with M/s Hitachi technology being our technical

collarator. Which in turn follows Japanses Industrial

Standards (JIS). Hence ASME Sec. VIII Div. I & TEMA-

B codes/ standards are not applicable.


TEMA - B - Shell & tube type heat exchangers Follow Tender Requirement

API 685

We are using canned motor pumps in our Vapour

Absorption Machine (VAM). These are Japanese make

& are as per manufactruer's standard. Hence API 685

codes/ standards are not applicable. We are using

vaccum pump which is rotary type & hence API 685 is

not applicable.


API 610

We are using centrifugal pumps for normal water

application. Hence we propose standard (i.e non API)

centrifugal pumps. However is still client insist going for

API 610 pumps, then let us know the edition to be

consider.

Steam inlet control valve shall be provided with isolation

valve, manual bypass valve & steam traps

This being single effect VAM, we shall provide steam

drain (Condensate) control valve instead of steam

control valve. Steam traps shall be provided on the

steam line. However we do not recommend to install

manual bypass valve for control valve as manual

oepration of steam drain control (condensate) is not

allowed.

4 of 8 3.11 Automatic quick shut off valve on cooling water system

We are providing pressurized soft spray nozzle system

in Absorber section. So even if VAM machine trips

there is no flow of lithium bromide in the Absorber.

Hence even the cooling water passes through Absorber

there is no possibility of crystallization in the VAM. Plus

we are giving interlock between cooling water inlet

temperature & cooling tower fan. Whenever cooling

water inlet temperature goes below specified limit

cooling tower fans are cut-off. Resulting in prevention

of crystallization. Hence Automoatic quick shut-off

valve is not requirement in our machine. Therefore not

provided.

5.1 Sand blasting

Since VAM is having delicate rubber & glass parts

installed on its body normal wire brush cleaning is

applicable. Sand blasting is not recommended as it

damages the above said delicate parts.

Control system shall be microprocessor based control

system dedicated for each machine.

Microprocessor based control system/ panel shall be of

M/s Micro Power control with Microprocessor from M/s

Softhard Automation. Same is provided in previous

project executed at M/s CPCL/ with M/s EIL.
