Subject:- Departmental Competitive Examination for promotion of Helper to the post ofTechnicians against 20% Departmental Quota for 2011-2012 vacancies.

1. A Departmental Competitive Examination for promotion of Helper to the post of Technicianagainst Departmental Quota will be held on 04-08-2013 from 10:00 hours to 13:00 hours atthe following centres:

i) Delhi ii) Chennal iii) Mumbai Iv) Kolkata v) Guwahati

2. The number of vacancies are as follows:

3. All the candidates in a particular zone will appear at their respective Zonal headquarters.

4. The eligibility condition for the posts of Technician which are to be filled by promotion on thebasis of examinations: Helpers working in AIR/DD Kendras who have completed 11 years ofservice as Helper as on 01.01.2011

5. The syllabus & pattern of question paper for this examination has been modified/restructuredin 2008 & circulated in the Training News Bulletin Vol V. Issue NO.5. (October-December,2008.) and is also available on 5TI(T) Website http://www.stitalrdd.org.This may please bebrought to the notice of helpers working at your Station/Kendra/Office.

6. !he revised examination pattern consist of :

i) Written Test consisting of one paper of 3 hours duration carrying 200 marks: Out ofwhich Part-I is compulsory for all the candidates and of 100 marks. Part-II consists of twoparts i.e(Part II-A: Basic of Radio Broadcasting ) and (Part-II-B: Basic of TVBroadcasting). Candidate may choose either Part-II-A or Part II-B. Each part is of 100marks.

ii) Practical Test of 3 hours duration carrying 100 marks will be conducted by concerningZonal ADG-E after completion of written examination.. ., ,

7. The medium of examination will be English or Hindi as the candidate may opt fpr.

8. This ...--mayplease be brought to the notice of all eligible helpers working at yourStation/Kendra/Office. Stations/Kendras/Offices should send tne list of willing and eligiblehelpers to respective Zonal ADG (E) at the earliest possible. It may be noted that the namesmay not be sent to STI(T) directly by the stations. Names sent to STI(T) will- not beconsidered.

9. The Zonal Add!. Director General (E) will intimate the Station concerned about the RollNumbers of the candidates. exact location of the examination centres and other detailsregarding conduct of practical test.

10. The Zonal Addl. Director General (E) will intimate the names of the candidates along withtheir roll numbers to STI(T) on or before the date of examination i.e. 04.08.2013.

11. Engg. Heads of $tations/OJfices/Kendras under whom candidates are ~orkirfg shoutd serid aletter authorising the candidates to appear in the examination at the allotted centre \ogetherwith three specimen signatures of the candidate, duly attested, to the ExaminationSuperintendent of the concerned centre. The Superintendent of the centre will obtain thesignatures of candidate at the time of appearing in the examination and verify the same withspecimen signatures. Then only he will allow the candidate to sit for the examination. Thecandidates must carry with them their identity card issued by their office throughout theexamination period and produce the same to the Examination Superintendent on demand.These instructions may please be brought to the notice of the candidates for strictcompliance. .

12. Mobile phones/ pagers/Calculators, etc. are not allowed inside the examination hall.

13. Candidates found using unfair means in the examination will be debarred from taking theexamination.
