Statement on Inauguration

It is with great appreciation that I thank the Delegates of the Second Student Association

General Assembly for a year of hard work and great accomplishments. You have all served the

University with the honor and distinction that reflects true leadership. To those of you that will

be continuing your work as a member of the Third General Assembly or will be serving as a

Delegate for their first time, congratulations. You will have the unique opportunity to serve this

school like never before. I look forward to being able to face these opportunities by your side.

The Chairs and I will work diligently to appoint liaison positions in a swift, efficient, and

appropriate manner.

Over the course of the past year, the relationship between the General Assembly and the

Student Fee Allocation Board has been overhauled for the better. We have increased

transparency and accountability, and I look forward to working with Director Staab and the rest

of the board to continue this cooperation.

This year saw the creation of the Supreme Court of the Undergraduate Students. The first

justices of the court fulfilled their roles, setting the frame work for Courts to come. Their

positions will play an integral role in the lives of the Students of the University.

We have made great strides towards the betterment of the University. I look forward to

continuing the work of the Students with my fellow Delegates and intend to hit the ground

running once we return from summer vacation. I would like to wish everyone good luck on their

finals and to have a great summer.
