Scapula, clavicle, & humerus serve as attachments

for shoulder joint muscles

The articular surfaces are covered by hyaline cartilage.

The fibrous capsule surrounds the joint and is attached:

Medially to the margin of the glenoid cavity outside the labrum;

Laterally to the anatomic neck of the humerus.

The capsule is thin and lax, allowing a wide range of movement.

Blood supply:-

1. Coracobrachialis muscle

2. Deltoid muscles

3. Pactoralish major

4. Latissimus dorsi

5. Teres major

1. Flexion

2. Extension

3. Abduction

4. Adduction

5. Circumduction

6. Medial rotation

7. Lateral rotation
