GOLD Honor Roll(Gifts of $250 to $1000)

The Honor Roll of Donors was initiated in 1993 to recognize people who give annually to the Foundation. The current year of giving is shown, followed in parenthesis by the number of years of consecutive giving. Donations for 2010 are accepted through

the end of December and you need not be a member of the Foundation to make the Honor Roll. With on-going support from annual donors, the Foundation can make a signifi cant impact on the quality of education in our school.

Please join this very important PHS Honor Roll of Donors by making a contribution in any amount.

The Board of Directors are excited to announce the completion of the Fine Arts Fundraising Blitz. The purpose of this campaign was to secure funds which would allow the Ponca School District to fi nish the renovation project of the 1939 Auditorium into a Fine Arts Theater and Performance Complex. Over $130,000.00 has been donated to the school district through the Foundation. This monetary gift will be used during the second phase of building construction in the summer of 2011. Enclosed in the brochure is a list of our generous donors. Kudos to our donors for enhancing fi ne arts opportunities to our students!

Special Thanks to Fine Arts Blitz Donors

BRONZE Honor Roll(Gifts of less than $100)

The Class of 2005 Special Use Endowment was established, December 13, 2005 to support special projects for Ponca School. Due to the lack of activity in this account and low interest rates, the Class of 2005 endowment of $2,283.04 was signed over to the Ponca Alumni Association, by the class president, Allison Smith. The Class of 2005 are proud alumni of Ponca School and their gift will be combined to make a larger balance for the Alumni Association’s fi nancial support of Ponca School. The Ponca Alumni Association is very excited to accept this generous donation and will be establishing a Ponca Alumni Endowment with the guidelines and criteria to be determined.

The Ponca Community Educational Foundation

(P.C.E.F.) announces its 2011 Funding Opportunities for

Ponca Graduates and Patrons of the District

One of the purposes of the PCEF is to promote and support educational opportunities for the students of the Ponca Public School District. One of the avenues of support has always been funding scholarships to Ponca High School graduating seniors.

Because of recent growth from the generous support of its members, the PCEF is excited to sponsor additional funding opportunities. Listed below is a brief description of those opportunities. After reading these descriptions be sure to encourage a P.H.S. connected student, parent, or community member to apply for these resources.

Guideline information, cover sheets, and applications for each program may be obtained by contacting the high school guidance offi ce at Ponca Public School. Additionally, the information and forms may be found on the school website: www.poncaschool.org. (Click on Foundation icon; then click on Grant-Scholarship Opportunities).

Funding categories presently include: 1. Awards for P.H.S. Graduating Seniors 2. Awards for P.H.S. Alumni 3. Awards for Certifi ed Staff Members at Ponca Public School 4. Awards for Non-Certifi ed Staff at Ponca Public School

Should an individual, family or business wish to contribute to the P.C.E.F., please contact Foundation President Stanley Leigh, Ponca, NE, 402.755.2837. Thank you.

Applicants for PCEF scholarships and grants must complete an application form by March 15 to be eligible for the awards. The Scholarship Selection Committee uses a scoring system to determine recipients. Applicants are scored on academics, activities, and the strength of the application itself. Many of the awards have specifi c eligibility guidelines established by the donors.
