The school extends its heartfelt greetings to Ms Rita Singh, Director, Indirapuram Group of Institutions on being selected for the CBSE National Award for Principals, 2018. Her simplicity, integrity & fervour in the field of education are well known. Her tireless efforts for our institutions to reach ever greater heights are noteworthy. She believes that our world is shrinking and that it is a fact that economics will be driven by knowledge. She is a true inspiration for all of us.

Philanthropic initiative of Piyush Shrivastava, Head Boy of the school is praiseworthy. He raised funds by organizing debating and public speaking workshops and donated the majority amount for the Assam flood victims. The school fraternity appreciates the young boy for holding philanthropic values as well as for making productive contribution to society.

The School Headmaster, Dr. Ashish Mittal attended the Mentor Meet-up organized by the Atal Innovation Mission, Niti Aayog, Government of India on 22.08.2019 in New Delhi. The event was presided by Dr. RamananRamanathan, Mission Director & Dr. Ayesha Chaudhary, Project-Director, Niti Aayog. In the event, the mentors had a wonderful discussion on how could they foster innovation amongst the young minds well through Atal Tinkering Labs.

On 29th and 30th August, Indirapuram Public School, Indirapuram held a Capacity Building Workshop organized by CBSE in Physics discipline for sandard XII. The session was attended by the physics faculty Ms. Shivani Sharma and teachers of different schools across NCR and Ghaziabad. The resource person Mr. Jagdish Singh, Principal, DAV, Saharanpur addressed the different key skills which can make Physics understandable and interesting. The main focus of workshop was to bring continuous improvement in teaching- learning process and to understand the challenges in teaching physics. It was a very interesting and engaging session.

Ms. Surbhi Malik got an opportunity to attend a CBSE Training programme"Happy Classrooms“ The programme started with energizing activities by Mrs Luthra. She presented the topics about Self-awareness, Self Management, Self Motivation, Relationship Management and Social Awareness and discussed about exploring Happiness. She involved the trainers in an interesting activity ‘Happiness Scale’ and ‘Happiness Formula’. Overall "HAPPY CLASSROOMS" was a very Positive Education programmewhich was not only meant for How to make students happy but also Teachers and parents too.

On 5th August 2019, Prospective Resource Program on Happy Classroom was organised by CBSE which was attended by HM Mr. Ashish Mittal and Ms Shefali Singh, English faculty of school were sent to attend the workshop. The session was addressed by Dr. Sandeep Jain and Dr. SmitaDesai, who laid emphasis on the emotional health of the students. It was also reteriated that creative learning motivates students to put forth greater effort, whereas boredom only decreases efforts. Thus creating a safe and caring classroom with engaging lessons will pursue the learners to evolve for a better future. The base line of workshop was the concept that "Happy teachers create happy Classrooms"

On 13th and 14th August, Indirapuram Public School, Indirapuram held a Capacity Building Workshop, organized by the CBSE, in History discipline (Standard XII). The session was attended by the History faculty of PratapVihar Branch, Ms. Amita Agarwal, and teachers of different schools of NCR. The main focus of the workshop was to bring continuous improvement in teaching and learning processes, popularly known as the Kaizen Principal.

Sixth Edition of “Skill Camp for Teachers” at Manav Rachna International School, Noida was held On 17th August. The session was attended by the Computer faculty of Pratap Vihar Branch, Ms. Shipra Panigrahi and Pratyusha Bandil. The event was held at specially designed maker space facility i.e. Makershala where participants were given a chance to work on latest technologies with a series of hands-on project based modules.Teachers learnt to use the technologies like 3D printing, Drones, Internet of Things, and Robotics.The workshop was very enriching and thoroughly enjoyed by all the participants.

A two day Capacity building workshop by CBSE on 'Classroom Management' was organised at Indirapuram Public school, Pratap Vihar on 21st and 22nd August. More than 80 teachers from schools across NCR and Ghaziabad participated in the workshop .The resource person elaborated on useful techniques which enable the teachers to set up an ideal classroom. Ideas were shared to enhance the skills to make the curriculum child centered. The workshop also summed up the essential qualities of an effective teacher .With the help of activities an ideal classroom situation was created. Emphasis was on motivational classroom management and to make teaching more effective and goal oriented.The two day workshop was an unforgettable learning experience for all the teachers.

One day capacity building program was organized at Indirapuram Public school, Pratap Vihar on 25th August 2019 in collaboration with CBSE (COE) . The workshop was attended by about 50 teachers of different schools of Ghaziabad. The resource person was Mr Anurodh Chitra , principal of DPS Kurukshetra . The ice breaking was done by posing thought provoking questions about need of values in our life , he discussed the responsibility of teachers as role models in value education , how value education can be an integral part of usual school teaching and values for every day life . Overall it was an enriching session enjoyed by all.

A two day workshop on 'Career Guidance' organized by CBSE was held at Indirapuram Public School, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad on 4th and 5th August. The workshop saw the active participation of many schools across Delhi and NCR. The base line of the workshop was to help prospective generation to understand their areas of interest and at the same time helping them to harness their talent. The eminent resource person Ms. Gurpreet Singh emphasized on the inclusion of career information with academics. It was also stressed that teaching fraternity must keep itself abreast with the latest global changes in the curriculum. The session commenced with many interesting activities on different topics with the active participation of the teachers.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the ‘Fit India Movement’ on 'Khel Diwas' on 29th August with an aim to make physical activities and sports a part of daily life of the citizens. The event was held at Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, New Delhi. On the basis of the data filled in Khelo India App, our school was selected to attend the event along with the teachers. The live telecast for the same was shown to our students in school auditorium to spread awareness regarding fitness and the associated benefits with it.

On 1st August, a workshop on 'Robotics and it's importance' was organized for classes 3rd to 8th in collaboration with 'Avishkaar'. The session was delivered by Mr. Shubham, who is an alumnus of our school , and currently working as a 'Research engineer and trainer' in 'Avishkaar'. The students were introduced to the basic concepts of robotics, it's current and future applications, and how are they different from normal machines. This induced a spirit of learning and curiosity about the latest technologies among them. Shubhamalso demonstrated various robotic models such as Ball Shooter, Robotic Crane Gripper, Sumo wrestling bots and Hand Generator this kept them involved in various fun activities.Thismade the overall session learning ,entertaining and charged with a lot of excitement and enthusiasm.

Career Assessment Program was conducted on 14th August 2019 at Indirapuram Public School, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad for classes IX to XII students by Ms. Manvi, Ms. Monika and Ms. Dhriti from Extramarks. This session focused on importance of career planning. The session enabled the students to explore and to be acquainted with diverse career options welcomed by each stream. The resource person started the session with some real life experiences which was enlightening for the students. The counsellors stressed upon the need to know and understand oneself and one's desires, area of interest and aptitude. The interactive session ended with students posing questions and clearing their doubts regarding career options.

Workshop on "Good touch Bad touch was conducted for preprimary students on 16.8.19 by pre-primary teachers. The students understood the concept of safe and unsafe touch and this was explained to them in a simplified manner with the help of numerous videos, dramatization and posters. They were also given instructions on how should one react or respond in an uncomfortable situation. The interactive workshop also dwelled on the urgent need to empower young children and to report abuse, as children often keep abuse as a secret and encourage them to confide their problems in parents and teachers.

On 31st August, 100 students from VI to VII classes went on a fun trip to Atlantic Water World. The trip allowed the students to gain fresh experiences outside the four walls of the classrooms. Everyone came close to enjoy a good day, and at same time itenabled the children to nurture a closer bond with their teachers and classmates.

On 19th August, the school sent its middle school students for a recreational trip to 'Atlantic Water World'. The day turned out to be a rejuvenating break away from the regular academic pressure. The trip allowed the students to enjoy the uniqueness of thewater park going off the beaten track of daily routine. The excitement of the day brought back the children in a gleeful mood.

On 28th August, 130 students of the junior wing visited KidZania, Noida which is a Global Indoor Entertainment and Learning Center. The school sent its kids to this place because it is a safe, unique, and interactive kids play zone that aims to empower, inspire & educate kids from 2 to 16 years of age through innumerable fun activities. The trip turned out to be a fun as well as a learning experience for the kids.

The school completely understands that getting away from regular academic routine, gives students an opportunity to spend time with their teachers and peers in a new environment. The experience of new environment rejuvenates them and prepares them to face academic related challenges. For this specific reason, the school organized a trip to World of Wonders for the students of senior wing on 10th August. The enjoyment of the day prepared the students to face the upcoming exams.

The world of stars has always been a source of fascination for every student, in order to answer the inquisitiveness of our students, Indirapuram Public School has organised a "Night Sky" in association with Leo Planetaria on 27th August 2019, where students have witnessed the various astronomical sky simulation. They thoroughly enjoyed the vivacious world of stars.

On 9th August, the school organised a tree plantation drive as an endeavor towards environmental protection and more than 100 saplings of different species of plants were planted by students and teachers. This plantation drive ended with a promise to fulfill our responsibilities to leave a rich environmental legacy for our future generation.

The tiny-tots of Pre Primary wing celebrated National Sports Day on 29.8.2019 with full zest and excitement. This day marks the birthday of Dhyan Chand, a legendary hockey player. Students participated enthusiastically in various races like a hurdle race, watering plants race, cone and the ball race etc. The aim behind holding the event was to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and fondness for sports in children.

The students, of Pre-primary, LKG section full of energy and eagerness participated in English recitation competition with their props and action. The competition was conducted on 26 August 2019. The main purpose is to improve student’s stage confidence.

"Colours are brighter when the mind is open”.Colouring competition was conducted for Playway children on 30/08/2019. Little ones have always fantasized about colours. Thus the first competition for this session 2019-20 for the tiny-tots is Coloring Competition, wherein students brought in their colourful imaginations.Children participated with great devotion and showed their talent. It helped them in exploring new ideas, creativity as well as a sense of colours.

'Walking on a straight line and balancing a glass of water' activity was conducted for L.K.G students on 20th August 2019. The activities of such kind not only develop motor control but helps in developing listening skills, balance, coordination, body awareness and sense of inner discipline. Our little kids enjoyed this physical activity.

On the occasion of Independence day, chef activity -Tricolour sandwich making was conducted. The little chefs did the activity with full enthusiasm and showed their patriotism.

Lord Krishna's birthday celebration was organized in the pre-primary wing on 23.8.19 for children. Our little girls were beautifully dressed up as Radha and the little boys as Sri Krishna. Students were explained about the significance of the occasion. Kids beautifully coloured the matki given on sheets. Our students not only enjoyed the festival with great happiness and bliss but also came to understand the meaning of celebrating this festival.

The participants of pre-primary, UKG sections enthusiastically, with bubbling energy recited English poem with action and used their props majestically. English recitation competition was conducted on 20-8-19. The main purpose is to improve student's memory, stage confidence and English pronunciation and also to enhance their public speaking.

The students of the pre-primary wing were caught up in the spirit of patriotism and celebrated 73rd Independence Days. The little ones came dressed in white T-shirts with tricolour caps & bands, some of them dressed up as freedom fighters. The school was decked up with tricolour kites, balloons and doves. The spirit of freedom and patriotism was sensed. Our cute tiny babies sang the patriotic rhymes and danced on patriotic tunes. Significance of Independence day was explained to the kids by their teachers. It was a day we all remembered, honoured our freedom fighters and applauded for their immense sacrifices in helping us to live in a free country.

In order to instil the value of plants, a trip to the Plant Nursery was organized for the Upper Kindergarten children of Indirapuram Public school, Pratap Vihar on 9-8-19. They were taken to a nearby Nursery where the little ones were shown different types of Plants, explained the various parts of the plants and their uses. They learnt about the parts of plants and were also shown different medicinal plants like Tulsi, Turmeric etc. The children had a wonderful learning experience and were full of excitement to see such different species of plants. The trip was a memorable experience for the little ones.

To educate children about the value of our natural resources, and introduce them to the colour, Green Day was celebrated in the pre-primary wing on 9.8.19 with great enthusiasm and show. To begin with, children and teachers were dressed in pretty green attires and looked eco-friendly. Classroom boards were beautifully decorated in a green theme. Kids were engaged in various activities which included colouring, frog and tortoise making etc. Kids brought little saplings in decorated pots. The plantation drive was also conducted by the tiny tots of school.

Indirapuram Public School has always given innumerable opportunities to its students, to introduce the students with the noble prize winners of different fields, the school had decided to conduct International fancy dress competition on 29th August 2019, and the theme of the competition was "Nobel Prize Winner". All the students beautifully carried the attire and took up the role of well-acclaimed noble prize winners, and also presented their lives, works and vision. The aim of this activity was to introduce them to history in an innovative way.

The school conducted an Interhouse Art Auction Competition for the students on 14th August 2019.In this activity students from classes 9th to12th prepared decorative and useful items from waste material. The prepared items were auctioned in front of the school fraternity. The idea behind the activity was to enhance their marketing skills.

On 29th August 2019, CCA activity "Puppet Making" was conducted for the students of 1st and 2nd, they created their own puppets with the help of socks, sheets, ice-cream sticks and other decorative items, their puppets were the true incarnation of their vivid imagination. The idea behind conducting this activity was to evolve students' creativity and imagination. Students were chirping with laughter while executing their imagination into reality.

CCA Activity was conducted for our young leaders where they beautifully encarved themselves in the fancy dress, the theme of the competition was "Monuments of India" where they enunciated about the different heritage sites of India with props. Through this activity they learnt about the golden past of India.

GSP Energy workshop was conducted on 14th August 2019, for the students of class IV and V, Power Point presentation was shown to the students in order to assimilate values on Conservation of Energy for the sustainable development. The workshop was very enriching, where students thoroughly enjoyed.

Students of Indirapuram Public School Pratap Viharparticipated in Interhouse SDGs Activity on 13August 2019 . In this activity students from classes VI-VIII participated with great zeal. They prepared different models enthusiastically on various topics like Disaster Management, Earthquake Management, Rainwater Harvesting, Tsunami, etc.

On 8th August 2019, CCA activity dumbbell race was conducted for classes first and second in Indirapuram public school. The two dumbbells were placed behind one of the lines. The kids started the race from the other line. They ran towards the dumbbell and the one who had done it first was declared as the winner. This made them learn the importance of hard work and collaborative learning.

CCA activity "Hindi Patriotic Song competition" was organisedon 8th August at the school premises. It was a theme-based competition, where the students of classes 3rd to 5th earnestly participated and sang Hindi Patriotic songs. The competitors presented a variety of songs which was rendered by the audience. Every corner of the school was echoed with the soothing voice of our young maestros.Students of the Prithvi house bagged the first position followed by Akash and Vayu who stood second and third respectively.

Special assembly was conducted on the occasion of INDEPENDENCE DAY and RAKSHA BANDHAN to live the true spirit of religious sentiments and a deep love for our motherland. Students took oath to serve the nation with dignity and sincerity. A speech was delivered to remind about the great struggles fought by our freedom fighters to gain freedom from the shackles of the British rule. Patriotic song and dance was also performed by the students to enhance the patriotic feeling. The tapping of the little foot on the melodious number of "phoolo ka taro ka saab ka kehena hai ekhazar o mei meri behena hai" added the zest of the celebration. A heart touching skit was also performed on Pulwama attack which delivered a deep message on the sacrifice of the Indian soldiers. The ceremony started with flag hoisting and National Anthem. The Principal Ms.Renu Sharma delivered a short speech on this occasion and stressed on the importance of celebrating the festivals of our country.

Indirapuram Public School ,Pratap Vihar always upholds the customs and tradition of Indian culture. To celebrate the birth of LORD KRISHNA a special assembly was organized by the students on 23rd of August.Speech,song and dance was performed by the students on the occasion of Janmastami. The assembly also honored the talented students in the field of sports and music in various inter school competitions.

National Sports Day was observed in the morning assembly by the students of Indirapuram Public School,Pratap Viharon 30th of August. The day was made eventful through various activities like speech ,quiz ,oath and physical exercises . The Principal Ms. Renu Sharma stressed on the importance of physical activities for all Indians for building a healthy nation and we the members of IPS family should imbibe these practices. A wonderful performance of aerobics and yoga was showcased by the students

Swastik and koshika of class UKG made IndirapuramPublic school proud by winning laurels at Rainbow public school, Pratap Vihar on 30th August 2019 in which they made a scenery with origami folding shapes. They secured the first position in the competition. HeartiestCongratulations to both .

On 29th August, students from our school got an opportunity to attend "FIT INDIA MOVEMENT"at Indira Gandhi Sports stadium, New Delhi to mark the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, Indian Hockey Wizard. It is a matter of pride that our school was one of the eleven schools of ghaziabad selected to be the part of event which was launched by PM Modi. The selection criteria was the completion of 80% fitness test of CBSE by our students. At a colourful ceremony, which included a presentation of India's indigenous martial art forms, dances and sports, Modi enunciated that technology had contributed to a sedentary lifestyle and fitness had always been an integral part of our culture.The launch was also attended by sports minister Kiren Rijiju along with many celebrities from cinema and national sports awards winners. In his address, Prime minister emphasized on the need of walking and yoga exercises.

FIT INDIA MOVEMENT

Recently, our boys aged under 14, participated in National Sports Meet for Kabaddi. The event which was held at Nehru Yuva Kendra, Ghaziabad, brought laurels to the school and at the same time proved the sport acumen of the boys. Our children aced 2nd position defeating several teams of NCR and Ghaziabad.

The students of Indirapuram Public School have always proved their charisma around the vicinity whenever they got the chance of proving themselves, this time Pakhi of UKG Tulip bagged the third position in the competition "Fun with Ear buds" which was held at Indus Valley Public School, Noida on 22nd August, 2019, the school witnessed the cut throat competition but our little girl emerged as a warrior.

Independence Football Cup, a prestigious football tournament, kicked off recently at Sunderdeep World School. Our students (under 14 boys category) emerged victorious defeating many schools across NCR and Ghaziabad. Anadi Sharma of class IX aced first position and proved his sport skills.Under 12, the boys secured 2nd position.

Inter school debate competition (Cross Verbal Sword)was organised at Sunderdeep World School, Ghaziabad on August 3rd 2019.All the participants put in tremendous hard work to showcase their hidden talent. Students of Indirapuram Public school Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad Divya Srivastava and BaljinderSingh spoke eloculently on the given topic and adjudged first position. They bagged the gold medals. The aim of the competition was to hone public speaking skills of the students and teach them to be articulate while expressing their thoughts and opinions.

The Mozart's of Indirapuram Public School presented their aura of soothing and melidious voice in the premises of. Chabiladas Public School, Ghaziabad on 22nd August 2019. The students of Class 4TH and 5th truly proved their talent and emerged as a 3rd prize winner in the cut throat competition.
