SPECIFICATIONS

Powerhouse’s Phase Control DC systems are of constant voltage and current limited type. Utilising SCR phase control design they provide a rugged and highly reliable DC supply.

Available with single and three phase inputs, the Powerhouse Phase Control series are ideal for charging sealed lead acid, vent-ed lead acid and lithium phosphate batteries.

Phase Control DC systems are in widespread usage throughout Australia to supply LV & HV switchboards, DC substations, emergency power and lighting systems, and switch tripping. As a result, HILITE chargers are found in both commercial and industrial operations, in areas such as hospitals, airports, utilities, communications, mining and petrochemical industries.

Dependant upon rating, DC systems can be housed in wall-mount or free standing enclosures, which will normally accommodate optional equipment and batteries without increased size. Larger enclosures are available for more complex systems.

4 Power Conditioning Catalogue

The PS1UDC+ power system is comprised of four main subsystems:

• Shelf Unit: Type I: 1U DC+ type I – includes a 19” 3U shelf with up to 2 rectifiers + SC 1UDC + controller and an electronic ELVD device

Type II: 1U DC + type II – 19” 1U shelf (subrack) with up to 3 rectifiers

• System controller: Monitors and controls the system and also communicates with an external PC or network. This is done by an RS232 serial port (standard) or via PPP/SNMP/TCP-IP protocol (optional).

• Rectifier module(s): Convert(s) ac input to dc output.

• Electronic Low Voltage Disconnect (ELVD) device: Disconnects the battery from the load, preventing the damage to the battery that results from over-discharging. The PS1UDC+ has a true semiconductor-based LVD with no moving parts (such as relays or contactors). This ensures reliable operation and a long MTBF. The ELVD of the PS1UDC+ uses power MOSFETs to perform the switching. The ELVD has two branches that can handle two independent battery sets. (For loads higher than 120 A, battery disconnection is performed by a dc contactor (LVD).)

The rectifiers are “hot pluggable” and operate in parallel. This means the rec-tifiers can be added or replaced with no impact on the power supply to the load devices and with no impact on the battery charging current. The parallel configuration of the rectifiers also enables the user to define an “N+1” or “N+2” redundant system. Each rectifier has its own current sharing system, and provides complete, precise current sharing among rectifiers.Output terminals for connecting the load and battery sets are mounted on the connecting busbars of the motherboard, located behind the removable metal rear panel.OPTION: On customer request, the the PS1UDC+ power system can include a special additional rack containing dc–dc converters.

UPS management software. Users can remotely monitor

and manage from one to multiple UPSs in a networked

environment, either LAN or over the INTERNET. It prevents

data loss from power outage by safely shutting down

systems avoiding hard shutdowns. Also this software has

the ability to store programming data and schedule

shutdown UPSs.

This new version allows remote control and monitoring for

multiple UPSs via networked environment. Besides, it also

provides event statistic and power flow information in

diagram for corporate MIS to analyse the power status. To

avoid outside hackers, it also provides password security

protection for control and management.

PSCSNMP Simple Network Management Protocol card that allows for remote

monitoring and shutdown of UPSs over the internet. This unit is especially designed for the

Commander tower and rackmount range.

PSCESNMP Simple Network Management Protocol card that allows for remote

monitoring and shutdown of UPSs over the internet. This unit is especially designed for the

Centurion tower and rackmount range.

PSCSNMPee Simple Network Management Protocol card that allows for remote

monitoring and shutdown of UPSs over the internet. This unit is especially designed to

take an environmental monitoring plugin that allows the user to monitor temperature,

humidity, opening and closing of server room doors and windows.

building management systems, the AS400 card can be inserted into the backs of both

the Commander and Centurion Ranges.

The PowerShield Commander, Centurion, Centurion 3/1 and the

Platinum have in-built facilities for a Simple Network Management

Protocol (SNMP) card. These cards offer remote access of the

UPS anywhere where there is internet access. No PC is required

to access the UPS as it has its own LAN connection with a unique

IP address.

NetAgent Mini is an ultra-compact, light and fast tool to remotely

monitor and manage any UPS system. It can perform multi-servers

shutdown with ClientMate (Freeware for Windows, Linux and

FreeBSDOS),auto-sendnotifications,displayreal-timeinput-output

status, battery status, current UPS temperature and much more.

NetAgent II is also a tool to remotely monitor and manage any

Commander, Centurion or Platinum system. In addition, to the

features of the NetAgent Mini, the NetAgent II has the option to

add NetFeeler Lite to detect temperature, humidity, smoke and

security sensors, making the NetAgent II a versatile management

tool. Like the Mini, the NetAgent II also supports multiple languages

and is setup for web-based auto language detection.

Centurion Rackmount

The Centurion resolves utility power problems and delivers

superior power to equipment requiring critical power.

As a True Online Double-conversion UPS, the UPS takes

the AC signal, converts it to DC and then back to AC,

thus eliminating any noise or electrical interference and

delivering perfect 240 voltage and 50 Amps frequency to

all equipment. It is this seamless transfer to batteries that will

continue to feed equipment even after the front half of the

UPS has failed or if there is a mains fail.

The Centurion Rack comes complete with NetGuard

software to enable the UPS to softly shutdown the system

after a prescribed amount of time designated by the user.

The Centurion Rackmount, like its Tower counterpart, also

has programmable sockets on the back so that the user

may get more backup on more critical equipment. SNMP

and AS400 card slots are present on the back of the unit for

remote management and dry contact communications.
