solutions dedicated to the communications equipment at wireless sites. It applies to the

scenarios with unstable mains or frequent outages.

1.2 Solution Features

1. Outdoor integrated cost-effective grid hybrid solution: satisfying the requirements for

low-cost projects due to its cost-effectiveness, easy installation, and allowing for the

flexible configuration of full series of fast cycle batteries (FCBs)

2. Indoor integrated integrated controller and converter (ICC): satisfying the requirements

for low-cost projects due to its cost-effectiveness and easy installation

3. Non-intelligent component management: Non-intelligent components (such as batteries)

can be identified and remotely managed by using electronic labels or intelligent battery

detectors. Their status can also be monitored.

1.3 Composition The energy plant system (EPS) consists of the mains and reused diesel generator (DG)

and accepts solar energy.

The ICC consists of the alternating current distribution unit (ACDU), direct current

distribution unit (DCDU), power supply unit (PSU), and energy control center 500

(ECC500).

The energy storage system (ESS) contains energy storage unit-F series (ESU-F).

The cabinet with cooling system (CCS) comprises ICC500 series and ICC210 series.

7.4.1.2 Summary

The NetEco provides an overview of all sites information, including site summary, device

operating status, alarms, real-time data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and inventory

data.

The NetEco displays the operating status of site devices and power supply relationships in

status diagrams.

The NetEco allows users to send manual control commands to site devices.

7.4.1.3 Benefits

Users can monitor the operating status of the network and key components conveniently. This

feature allows users to view the data of concerned KPIs in real time and detect problems in

time, and helps users quickly locate and solve problems.

For a hybrid power supply system, the NetEco provides simulated device icons for users to

view the relationships between subsystems and real-time operating status of key components

in the status diagram of a hybrid power supply system. It also allows users to view the data of

concerned KPIs in real time in this status diagram. This helps OM personnel view power

supply status of each subsystem efficiently, learn about system operating status in a timely

manner, and quickly locate problems.

7.4.1.4 Description

Real-time monitoring is classified into the following two levels:

Network-level real-time monitoring

− Displaying subnets and site in a navigation tree: Subnets and sites are displayed in the

left tree as icons. If users select a subnet node, the subnet summary is displayed in the

right pane. If users select a site, the site status diagram and data area are displayed in

the right pane. The data area includes an alarm list, real-time data, and the switch for

sending manual control commands from NetEco to site. Only detected sites are

displayed.

− Filtering sites: Click Status Filter to display status filter options, including all sites,

disconnected sites, monitored sites, unmonitored sites, and advanced settings. All

sites are selected by default. If users click Advanced, sites are filtered based on site

status (including all sites, disconnected sites, monitored sites, and unmonitored sites),

networking type (including IP, GPRS and in-band networking), and the type of site

power supply system.

Site information overview

The site information overview functions are as follows:

− Status monitoring: monitors the operating status of all site components to ensure that

the components are working properly.

− Real-time data monitoring: monitors the power, environment, and temperature control

system, and displays real-time data in a table after the monitoring has been started.

Users can select multiple real-time indicators to display the real-time line chart.

− Performance data display: queries the performance data of a site or component.

− Alarm monitoring: displays alarm information about energy and environment of

relevant sites and an alarm list in real time.

− Sending manual control commands from NetEco: controls power-on and power-off,

solar power module on/off, and site reset, displays control commands of sites and

components, and delivers control commands.

− Start and stop monitoring: starts or stops monitoring a site in real time to save

network resources without affecting regular upload of alarms and performance data.

− Saving and downloading monitoring data: This function enables users to download

and save monitoring data.

− Site KPI monitoring: Monitor site KPI in real time.

Graphical Display

− Displaying the status diagram of site and components: displays the site component

status in status diagrams and the power supply and distribution relationships between

site components.

− Displaying real-time KPIs and the directions of currents in the status diagram

For an integrated hybrid power supply system, the NetEco allows users to view real-time data

of each subsystem, including

− Mains: three-phase voltage

− Power generation module: running status (started or stopped), range to which the

remaining fuel percentage belongs, three-phase voltage

− Solar power: current of solar power

− Power storage subsystem: charging mode (including equalized charging and float

charging), percentage of remaining capacity, working temperature, current power

backup duration, voltage, and current

Dependency This feature depends on the real-time data on the site energy controller. The

implementation of battery management varies based on the common parts of the

following constraints:

− Site energy controller's hardware conditions

− Power supply solutions for which the battery group is used

− Customer's diesel generator maintenance and management specifications or

regulations

− Security permissions

Sites adopting the AC/DC power supply solution: Battery tests are supported, which

depend on the site energy controller.

Sites adopting the hybrid power supply solution: PowerCube1000 V300R002C03 and
