POVERTY In Mali

So, Poverty is a State where you and your family don’t get the basic things to survive. Like for example, they don’t have any clean running water, not able to buy food for the whole day, not educated or not go to school because they don’t have money, They don’t have any good shelter or house to live in. You guys are lucky if you are not in the Poverty line, because its so hard to live under like that conditions.

ABOUT POVERTY

Mali is Officially called The Republic of Mali, is a landed locked Country in West Africa. Well, you could say Mali is the largest Country in Africa, because Mali have 1.240.000 Square Kilometers of land (480.000 sq mil). The Capital city of Mali is Bamako. The Population in there is about 16 million family’s.

The History Of Mali. The caravan routes has passed trough Mali since 300 AD. Regions of Mali was ruled by The Malinke empire from 12th - 16th Century, and the Shanghai empire reigned over the Timbuktu. Gao region in the 15th Century. Morocco defeated & conquer Timbuktu in 1591 and conquered it for over two years. Subjugated by France by the end of the 19th Century, the land become a colony in 1904 and in 1946 became part of French Union. On June 20,1960 , it became independent & under the name os Sudanese Republic. And then they change the Country name into Republic Of Mali at Sept 22(infoplease.com). So, probably that what makes Mali a Poor Country. There are so many wars before, and so many countries that are attacking them.

The population of Mali is 16.297.362 population and still growing(August,24,2015). That is what a saw on a website called Countrymeters.info/en/mali. Mens and Women's Population is like 50%-50%. So its like half Mens and half Women’s. Because, based on the same website that I already mention, Mens population is about 8.147.054 and still growing. But Women’s population is about 8.150.216 and still growing as well (24August, 2015). The magical of birth on this year is about 444.363 baby’s, but in every single day is about 662 baby’s. That’s happening on Mali. Sadly, the Infant Mortality rates in Mali is about 104.34 deaths/1.000 live birth. Public education in Mali is, in principle, provided free of charge and is compulsory for nine years between at the age of seven, followed by six years of secondary education, generally divided into three years-cycle(wikipedia.com).

Based on what I saw on Indonesian site(dw.org), Mali is actually a ‘ Torn’ country. There are Civil War everywhere and an exist of Radical Islamic Network. They are connected to the Poverty/Hunger that happening, because on Civil War people lost their houses, clothes, even their money. They lost everything and they don’t have moneys to buy or buld a new one. Radical Islamic Network is also connected to it. It turns out cops in Mali is actually a favor of The Radicals, at least initially. In the power vacuum after coup, the Tuareg establish an alliance with the terror network “Al- Queda in the islamic Maghreb “ ( AQIM). That was said on the dw.org website.

So, The solutions about poverty is probably make the Mali’s government more responsible to the problem. “if you can’t feed a hundred, just feed One”- Mother Teresa. There are many NGO’s that are working in Mali, but I found one (freedomforhunger.com) they are doing things such as giving food to the ones who need, and prepare things that Mali’s people needs to survive. Or you guys could just donate to the organizations who is gonna give it to them. That’s probably the best that you could do to help them.

Like I said, there are many NGO’s that are working in Mali. Like Unicef, Freedomforhunger, Alliance, AJAMali, etc. They are doing things like providing food, Built a shelter for them, Give them primary/secondary learning, and provide things that are needed to survive. Like AJAMali, they are the organizations are working in Bamako. They are giving an Educational Support(basic education) of children apprentices on ages 8-18, in three districts in Bamako. The primary projects of a company called SavetheChildrens is to teach the parents on how to give a treatments for Malaria. Malaria is a dangerous deceases that are exist in Mali.
