NOTICE TO BIDDERS

ADDENDUM NO. 01

This Addendum contains changes to and/or provides information related to the requirements of the

Request for Proposal documents and shall be incorporated therein. The changes shall apply to the work

with the same meaning and force as if they had been included in the original document. The remaining of

the Request for Proposal documents not modified by this Addendum remains in full force and effect.

Bidder shall Acknowledge this Addendum in writing by signing the attached Addendum

Acknowledgement form and returning it with its proposal. Failure of Bidder to acknowledge this

Addendum No. 01 may cause the Bidder to be considered as “non-responsive”.

Where required, Bidder shall replace the pages in the Request for Proposal Document with the

corresponding revised pages included in this Addendum. The proposals submitted must include the

latest Revision, as of the date of the Proposal, of all pages.

i. 18” Condenser Water Main in 28” Casing, located with 4’ min cover (according

to 1971 design docs). Located at Driveway at section line near Sta 4+00

ii. Electric Cables at or near 16” WM Route south of Sta 6+00. Bid the project

assuming cables will be abandoned.

iii. Both existing utilities poles to remain. Bid project assuming both pole lines are

present. Coordinate with BWL on schedule for providing pole support.

iv. RFP Revisions:

1. Include LS Cost for offsetting around 28” casing near Sta 4+00.

2. Do not provide COVID allowance.

3. Clarification of Deduct for Trench Backfilling Material

4. Questions and Comments

a. Will Photos be included in Addendum?

i. Yes; we will attempt to get those as part of the addendum, but the size may

dictate a separate posting.

b. Please describe in more detail the north connection to the Delta Twp 14” Water Main.

i. The existing main is to be cut and capped, and temporarily restrained at the

location shown on the plan. This will allow water service to be maintained to

MDOT, but will take the hydrant out of service. This interruption to happen on

a weekend.

ii. The final connection will be made on a weekend. The new 16” corner to be

assembled, swabbed and installed. The BWL will not require bacteriological

testing for this reach.

iii. Two separate interruptions will be required.

iv. Bidders to describe their plan for making this interconnection in their sequence

of construction.

c. Probable opinion of construction costs will not be provided.
