Tiffany- Road By Jim Cartwright.
• This play I studied at A level. 1987 It looks at peoples lives living in poverty. Living on the same road it shows everyday dramas. Realistic and modern. ‘loud’ drama. Intertextuality. As he talked about news and political problems in that time era. Famous line by Jim Cartwright was ‘If it didn’t happen we must have been dreaming’

Over exaggerated self image.
We know this is an over exaggerated character played by Jessie J. Makes it seem more of a movie. As many viewers will be able to link these characters to a film character to dramatise the song message. Just from seeing the image the audience can put a whole story and personality with each character.
Intertextuality visual and text
Reference to ‘mean girls’ the film, the way the girls are presented and the colour choice. Makes us connotate the colour to be a girly colours we automatically link things as such together.
‘Jessica you're so funny, you’ve got teeth just like bugs bunny’
Hyper reality and semiotics‘Time’ is used importantly here. There is no point in the video to make us clearly define what is now and what was then. We are left to put our own meaning to that. As the camera cuts back and fourth to each ‘Jessie’ Questioning the audience is this young Jessie's imagination we are seeing or is it a flash back in time.

• Tiffany - Style: 60’s fashion. Black and white because of the title of the song. Close up on face, shows emotion Intertextuality from older music videos. Lyric focus. Hyper real mix of time differences. So audience makes own judgements.
