2. FONT RESEARCH! This is the first font we found, we are attracted by the modern style, and the use of block capital letters. We like the 3D effect of this font, but we think some letters can be quite misleading, making it hard to read. POSSIBLEFONT We really like this font (YAVA), for its unusual qualities, and we feel it could work for the genre of our project.Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 3. FONT RESEARCH CONTINUED! This is another font which features the 3D aspect, however it looks slightly too techno for what we need it for. We really like this font, and would like to feature it within our project, but because of its bold style we are unsure where because of its need to stand out from the background. This font is different to a few of the others, but we think it is a bit too plain to be used in our project. Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 4. FONT RESEARCH CONTINUED! We found this font interesting, but knew it could be difficult to use, because of the fine lines used in the font. We really like this font (Futurism), for its creativity and originality, it really suits the artists, and so wed like to feature it somewhere in our project. We originally liked the style of this font, but realise it could be illegible to some audiences. POSSIBLEFONT Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 5. FONT RESEARCHCONCLUDED! We tried using both possible fonts on our music posters, in a variety of colours and layouts Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 6. POSTER CREATION! We decided to use this photograph, because we thought it had an edgy look, and would appeal to our target audience, we also though it was reflective of the original artists and the genre. Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 7. POSTER CREATION CONTINUED! We experimented with the Yava font type, in black positioned at the top of the photograph, however we felt it obscured too much of the photograph. Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 8. POSTER CREATION CONTINUED! We moved the font to the bottom of the photograph, which is a look we really liked, it didnt take too much attention away from the actors faces. Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 9. POSTER CREATION CONTINUED! We kept the font at the bottom, but experimented with different colours, we liked the use of black and white, but found the dark grey was lost in the background. We chose to keep the white and black the same, but to change the grey colour to a mauve shade to match the pigments of the jumper and lips in the photo. Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 12. POSTER CREATION CONTINUED! This is the first layout we tried with the other font, but again we feel that it obscured the faces of our actors too much.Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 13. POSTER CREATION CONTINUED! We really like this font and the position of it, we feel it works with the photograph and the style we are trying to present to our audience. Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 14. POSTER CREATION CONTINUED! We later decided to experiment with colour yet again, but we felt this deep pink was too bright and distracting.Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 15. POSTER CREATIONFINAL IDEA! We think we could use this font and colour scheme when we create our final poster, all the components compliment each other and it is reflective of the artists and genre, and attractive to our target audience. We added the name of the album, as a necessary detail, we experimented with a few different colours, but have decided to use black as it stands out the most. Our final idea ispresented on the next slide. Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 17. POSTER CREATIONFINAL IDEA! Poster PlanningAntonia Roberts + Jessica Sutherland 18.
