Adobe Photo Shop
Description:An orginal photo edited in Photoshop.
Objectives:
Tis photo contains a color swatch, layer masks, selective color masks, and other masks used toenhance the image. It also needed to contain text. Tis was 100% photo shop.
Process:
I rst contacted my friends to create this image. After a lot of
candid photos, I asked them to sit by the window and told them I would be right there, I told
them I was checking on something with my camera. I knew they would get bored and do
something on their phone. I waited with my camera. As they started to laugh and joke around, I
took their pictures. I found that capturing the genuine human emotion was key to allow
audience to feel emotion and be effected properly. The room had a blue tint originally. I
wanted it to have a warm feeling instead of a cooling feeling. I adjusted the reds and yellows toa brick. I brought out the greens and the blues. I did this all tools in photo shop. I originally had
a quote by a inspirational gure. However, it was way to long. I adjusted it with a decorative
header and a san serif font beneath it. I felt that this brought a simpler, yet effective message.

Description:This is a promotional ier for a Graduate Leadership Conference. Presented with the FOCUS
principles.
Objectives:
Using InDsign to create a Graduate Leadership Conference ier. Using only the images andand body text provided by the “employer.”
Process:
I began my process by reviewing the material given. There were many pictures, logo variations
and a word document from the client. I then went through and corrected spelling and grammar
issues. After this I reviewed what message the client was asking for. I sketched out four ideas.
I purposely created two that contrasted the other two. I played with pictures and sizes as I was
sketching. This design is the one that spoke out to me the best. As a College student and a
recent College Graduate, I thought, “What would capture my eye?” I created the ier in Adobe
InDesign. After my rst draft, I had it reviewed and critiqued by three people with different
backgrounds. Their advice inspired me to make a few changes.

Microsof Word
Description:A mock event used with a scanned image.
Objectives:
An event ad with a time, location and description. Only using the scanner and Word or creat-ing the ad.
Process:
I created this ad after choosing an image from a magazine. This was used in a Pedigree ad cam-
paign, so I found it tting to add to it for an event ad. I duplicated the image and took out the
background on the top layer. This allowed for the text box to be behind the dock but in front of
the skyline.

Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Indesign.Description:A business card to compliment with letterhead. Objectives:
Use Illustrator to create a logo and InDesign to organize the outline o thecard.Process:
I created the logo rst in Adobe Illustrator. I decided on a helm because I wanted to create a
nautical theme for a bed and breakfast. The lines used on the card and the font is the same as
the letterhead. I did this provide consitancy. The S for the logo was from a font called London.
I thought the S stood alone very well.

Text Wrangler
Description:A webpage created to describe the logo created in the Staionary projects.
Objectives:
Use Text wrangler to write a webpage using html.
Process:
The process for this website was more challenging at rst than I had hoped. However, once I
got the hang of it, coding was not that bad. I rst opened an HTML format in text wrangler and
then opened a CSS format in Text wrangler as well. I then was able to link the two together.
This allowed me to got to work and get things moving.
I picked the brick, teal and white colors to have a a nautical theme to match the logo. I changed
the fonts and took away the border around the page. This allowed the brick header to bee free
and not be trapped. I utilized white space to create a white ow. I placed the logo on the leftcorner to allow the visual ow to allow the eye to roam. I used photo shop to nd the colors
hex numbers to allow me to put them in the code. I then added a link at the end of everything
to redirect to my wordpress website.

Adobe Illustrator
Description:A logo for my personal branding.
Objectives:
Use Adobe Illustrator to create a color logo, a logo on white background and a logo and black
ground.
Process:
To create this logo I went o work in Adobe Illustrator. I wanted to keep it simple. I originally
started with the black and white concepts. I wanted the E in Snider to add diversity. The box
above is aligned with the N. To follow the E idea I did something similar with the M in Tom. I
layered two M’s on top of each other and slightly skewed. One is white and the other is black.
The color choice was chosen because I wanted to provide an early 90’s vibe, going back to my
roots as a child.
