INT DAY BEDROOM

we see different toys hanging from the walls, a spiderman,batman , as the camera moves it reveals an alarm clockshowing 6:30 am. the camera stops there. the alarm clockstarts ringing and suddenly a hand comes from behind andhits it hard to switch off the noisy alarm.

we reveal from a top angle two girls sleeping on the bedwith which the alarm clock was kept.

MOM(V.O)CHANDNI, POONAM uthoo dono ke jaaneka time hogaya. uthoo

mom now enters the frame and patts CHANDNI and then goestowards POONAM. CHANDNI (19), a tall girl a little bitwheatish gets up from the bed. mom is still trying to wakePOONAM but she is too deep in her dreams and has a smile onher face as if a child has seen chocolates. mom finally

forces POONAM up in a sitting position.

POONAM(14), small in height , fair, and naughtiness is onevery part of her face.

POONAMpaanch mint aur

POONAM falls back on the bed and covers her face with theblanket.

MOMPOONAM.....

mom starts walking towards POONAM briskly and picks her upfrom her arms and makes her stand on the floor .

POONAM makes a crying face rubbing her eyes and startswalking towards the washroom.

INT DAY KITCHEN

mom is working on every ones tiffins and is makingsandwhiches . a man(45) enters the kitchen and hugs the lady

from behind. she smiles.

CHANDNI crossing the door..

CHANDNImom mera towel kahaa haii...

CHANDNI notices her mom and DAD getting cosy . she bothlittle embarrassed move away..

MOMtumhare washroom mein rakhdiya haii... ab jaldi se nahaalo varnacollege ke liye late hojaugi

CHANDNIyes mom,............. and DAD

(smile) grow up..

CHANDNI walks away and DAD still a little embarrassed looksdown in a cute manner and then towards the mom who smilesand gets back to her work.

INT DAY WASHROOM

POONAM brushing her teeth taking out funny voices.... as ifshe is actually fighting hard with her oral germs with thebrush being her weapon. spits put the paste, gargless..

MOM(V.O)POONAM... POONAM..........

POONAM after hearing her moms voice spits all the water onthe mirror

MOM(V.O) CONT..jaldi karoo bus aane vaali hai

POONAM looks back at the door then back at the mirror ,looks at her blured shadow due to the water and gives out acheeky smile.

INT DAY LOBBY

DAD comes out having little problems wearing his tie

DADSHANTI tiffin ready hua ki nahithode late hogaye hai aaj shayad

SHANTI (V.O)aati babaa...... POONAM CHANDNIjaldi karo

CHANDNI walks out of the room carrying a sling bag on hershoulder..

CHANDNIim ready mom...

DAD holds CHANDNI from her shoulders and smiles and looks ather as if he is proud of her daughter.

INT DAY BEDROOM

POONAM fully dressed in her school uniform is staring atherself in the mirror. she now has two ponytails on eitherside of her head tied with red rubber bands and is admiringher teddy kept right next to her mirror.

POONAMmela poochie poochie .... mummaschool jaarahi hai vapas aake aapsemilegi ... ok... tab tak noshaitaani...

POONAM kisses the teddy on its cheek and leaves.

INT DAY LOBBY

everyone is ready to leave, mom is busy putting tiffin in

POONAMs bag...

SHANTICHANDNI, time pe ghar aajaana shaamko miane papa ke saath taj jaanahai function mein . POONAM kakhayaal rakhne ke liye koi honachahiye ghar pe

CHANDNIpar mom shaam ko to maine friendske saath jaana hai naa aapko bolabhi tha

SHANTItum jaanti ho na POONAM ko akelanahi chhod sakte,

POONAM during the conversation busystaring at everyone. DADlooks at CHANDNI and winks at her as if making a mockery ofwhat mom is saying.

SHANTI CONT,aur POONAM tum school mein noshaitaani .... aap vapas aayoge tomumma aapko ghar pe milegi.. ok

she kisses her on the cheek. and in return POONAM laughsslowly with her hand on her mouth while walking out with DADand CHANDNI.

INT AFTERNOON LOBBY

the wall clock showing 2pm. the door bell rings, we hear thenoise of opening the door.....

SHANTI (V.O)

chalo mooh haath dholo aur fatafatkhana khane ke liye ready hojaao.

mom walks away taking away POONAMs bag but she keepsstanding there rely tired to even move.

INT LOBBY AFTERNOON

POONAM sitting on the dining table swinging her legs.. hermom comes and keeps a plate filled with typical ghar kakhana in front of her. POONAM stares at the food for amoment and then makes a weird face. she bends forward and

picks up a packet of cream biscuits , opens it quickly andstarts munching.. her mom comes out... and snatches thepacket from her.

SHANTIye manaa hai na khana.. khaana khaotaakat ussi se ayegi

POONAMaaaaeeeee mumma vo mitha mitha haiaur ye uyaak ...

SHANTI

chup chaap khao

POONAM turns back towards food with a sad face

INT AFTERNOON BEDROOM

the wall clock showing 3:30 , we hear sounds of war, slowlythe camera moves revealing SHANTI fully engrossed in tvwatchin the war scenes of the movie border, where elsePOONAM is too busy watching dreams while sleeping with herhead on SHANTIs lap.

INT AFTERNOON LOBBY

the wall clock strikes 4:35 when the door bell rings .SHANTI wearing her tops and now dressed in a formal saaricomes and opens the door. DAD is back home.

SHANTIaap bhi na, hum late hojayenge aajbhi. last time bhi mrs verma bolnashuru hogayi thi. unko bhi basmauke chahiye hote hai gtaunt marneke.

DADmain hojaqunga ready. vaise bhiaurto ko time lagta hai. main to 10minutes mein ekdum set. dont worry.

DAD goes of into the bedroom,sees POONAM sleeping goes nearher and kisses her on the cheek. POONAM feels irritated andturns

POONAMummmmmmmmmmmm ..... daadi chubtihaii..

POONAM takes the blanket over her head and sleeps again.

INT EVENING LOBBY

the wall clock showing 5:30 when door bell rings again. thistime its CHANDNI. she enters with a sad face as she knowsshe will not be able to go with friends. she enters keepsher stuff in her room. SHANTI comes in from behind and startgiving instructions

SHANTI

hum jaarahe hai, dinner fridge meinrakhdiya hai microwave mein garamkarlena and ghar ka dhyaan rakhnaand especially POONAM ka..

DAD(V.O)shaantiii........ kahaa tha naaurte hi late hoti hai

SHANTIok ok byeee bye tc (in a hurry)

SHANTI leaves and CHANDNI keeps standing there irritatedlike every teenager if her mom does not listen to her.

INT EVENING BEDROOM

POONAM is busy watching cartoons on pogo and laughing. thewall clock striking 6:45. CHANDNI walking outside thebedroom talking on the phone loudly.

CHANDNI

yaa baba, i know sweety but i canttoday. u know na. no not here, okokill figure out something and thencall you back. cya luv u mwah.

CHANDNI keeps down the phone and looks at POONAM. she isbusy watching her cartoons. tom is running afterjherry andcrashes into a trash can. POONAM laughs.

CHANDNI enters the room and switches off the tv in haste.

CHANDNIsona nahi hai tumne, saara din

cartoons cartoons, cartoon hibanjaugi. fir subah school ke liyeuthte nahi ho. chalo utho sone jaao

CHANDINchup. chalo sone chalo.

CHANDNI holds POONAM by her arm and takes her to herbedrooom. she puts POONAM on the bed and orders her to sleepimmidiately.

INT LATE EVENING/NIGHT LOBBY

the wall clock is striking 7:30. CHANDNI walks upto POONAMwho is busy sleeping. she checks her and when she is surethat POONAM is asleep she smiles.

MONTAGE :stop/block motion

clothes being thrown on the bed one by one.

CHANDNI in front of the mirror checking out differentdresses.

CHANDNI going into the washroom

coming out with changed clothes.

tying the laces of her converse.

applying kajal in front of the mirror

chooses a perfume applies that in a stylish way

comes closer to the mirror, gives herself a flying kiss

CHANDNI( TO HERSELF)ur a hot chic.

CHANDNI walks out of the door closing the door of thebedroom and switching off the lights. the camera moves fromthe door to close up of POONAM where we can see her halfface. the camera stops. stays for a second. and then POONAMopens her eyes revealing that she was just pretending tosleep. POONAM gets up slowly from the bed removing thesheets put over her. slowly walks towards the door of theroom , opens it and checks out the lobbby and discovers her

sister has left.

POONAMyesssss

INT NIGHT BEDROOM

POONAM is standing in front of the mirror, smellingdifferent perfumes that her sister was using and applies thesame one her sister applied.

opens the door of the cupboard and purposely starts throwing

her sisters clothes on the bed.

she walks back to the mirror and checks herdelf out

POONAMyour a hot chic

and gives herself a flying kiss.

EXT NIGHT ROAD

CHANDNI meets her boyfriend, hugs her tightly

INT NIGHT KITCHEN

POONAM climbs on the slab of the kitchen, balances herselfand opens the almera. she starts fiddling with food itemskept inside. finally she sees something in the cupboard andher eyes start gleeming. she manages her hand inside.

CUT TO

the packet of the same chocolate cookies she tried to eat inthe afternoon is kept next to her feet on the slab. thecamera stays still when a packet of uncle chips is alsothrown next to it followed by a packet of soft cakes.

CUT TO

POONAM opens the fridge and takes out chocolates frominside.

INT NIGHT LOBBY

the tv channels are flipping. zee tv - saas bahu serial ,star - saas bahu serial , hbo - some english movie withaction scenes , ndtv - female reporter talking about amassacre......

POONAM is busy surfing channels and jumping on the bean bagholding the cookie packet in one hand and muching with theother.

the clock now striking 1:00 o clock . POONAM is lying downon the bean bag with empty chips packet on the floor andempty chocolate wrapper. she is half asleep but trying veryhard to be wake.pogo is the channel on the tv. she looks atthe clock and has a mixed expression of a pampered childleft alone.

INT NIGHT ROOM

POONAM opens the door of the dark room, enters there withthe same expression , slowly sits next to her huge teddy,stare at it for a moment, moves closer to it and continuesthe stare. immidiately POONAM hugs the teddy tight andbursts out crying loudly and as her crying continues , shekeeps hugging her teddy even tighter..

POONAM lying down on the bed with the sheets on and stillhugging the teddy tight.

POONAM(HALF CRYING)main na sabse achi baby banungi,kabhi bhi aapko tang nahi karungi

, khaana bhi theek se khaungi,pakka....... promishh pleaseaajaao, please ajaaao............... mumma

she bursts out crying again taking the sheets over her head.the camera stays there still for sometime.

the camera starts moving back to the lobby facing he roomwhile the whole story goes in reverse...

INT NIGHT LOBBY ( FLASHBACK)

the tv channels are flipping. zee tv - saas bahu serial ,star - saas bahu serial , hbo - some english movie withaction scenes , ndtv - female reporter talking about theterrorist attacking various parts of mumbai and naming them.

REPORTERaaj shaam se hi army aur terroristske beech firing jaari hai.abhi tak17 logo ke marne ki khabar aarahihai. ek baar fir se aapko bataadeki kuch terrorists ne mumbai kodelhladiya. unhone ne andhadun

firing shuru kardi. ye ek saath 5jagah hua taj hotel , nareemanpoint, shivaji chhatrapati railwaystation , trident hotel aur leopordcafe.......

the camera starts moving back into the room where POONAM issleeping with the whole story moving in fast forward motion.

INT NIGHT ROOM

POONAM has now fallen asleep crying. the camera moves closeto her face which still shows her adolescence , then facingher the camera moves up slowly to the top angle and keepsmoving...
