Nowa Dęba is located in the south part of Poland

in Podkarpacie province and district of Tarnobrzeg.

Over a half of Nowa Dęba area is grown

by forests, because our city is situated in old

Sandomierska Primeval Forest.

Nowa Deba commune was founded in the 12th century. After some time, many small villages and

towns were founded in the area of Nowa Dęba, like Chmielów.

In the 16th and 17th centuries Tarnowski's family with the crest

of Leliwa created a vast Dzikowskie domain within the Wood encompassing also the

village called Dęba.

The local economy was based on forest. Local inhabitants cut timber, produced charcoal, hunted and were wild-bee

The quality of the ground surrounded

Nowa Dęba was very poor, so a lot of

people were made to emigrate to Austria, Prusy and America.

After the World War I, when Poland

regained independence, the

decision about creation of Central Industrial District

was taken.

In 1927 the Polish government bought a part of the land, from

Tarnowski count, situated between

riwers Wisła and San and created the

training ground there.

The most important event in history of

Nowa Dęba was taking decision about

building of Ammunition Factory

No 3.

In 1938 the building of housing estate was started, also school,

hospital and swimming pool were

built.

The development of factory and

city was stopped by the outbreak of World War II.

In 1939 Nowa Dęba was

occupied by Germans.

general von Paulus was living

who prepared the expedition

to Soviet Union.

After the war, the factory was rebuilt and transformed into

DEZAMED Metal Factory. It produced

not only armour products but also irons, engines to motorbikes

and motorboats. The estate was

developing. There were built new schools,

kindergartens,the House of Culture and holiday resort „Nad Zalewem”.

The new very important industrial plant was

established – Spółdzielnia Inwalidów

'Zjednoczenie’.

On 31 December 1961 the estate Dęba received civic

rights and was given the name Nowa Dęba

Nowa Dęba is interesting and important places for investors, turists

and habitants

- nature – the remains of Sandomierska Primeval Forest,

- Lasowian Culture – attemps to restore it,

- The Tarnobrzeg Special Economic Zone,

- Interesting places.
